I got money that says they won't win a playoff game next year.

If I am reading this right, there is No money guaranteed in this contract.
I wonder if the real number will not be released until tomorrow? Crazy by the agent to not ask for a signing bonus.

Also Tip of the Hat to Linderbaum who is now the Highest paid center by a massive $9 million per year; Creed Humphrey came in at $18 million per year.

Funny because He wouldn't draft a Qb, and why are You even talking about football You never watched. You ,by your own words didn't even watch half of Cowher's time as a head coach. He was on his way out when You started watching.

    I agree
Is it gonna be one of the three suspects
    Rooney
    Kahn
    McCarthy
I personally think it is time to move on from Arod

Yeah God forbid we supported the HC of the Steelers.
Wow we win a playoff game. Tomlin has never done that . We must have just skipped the playoffs to make those two SBs, and that last AFC Championship. Now with that snark done with. I Hope He takes us to the SB, but somehow I remember Him with a young Rodgers at his prime, and He only got to one, so I have a pretty good idea that with a Rodgers that is far, far , far from his prime, I doubt He will do better. Matter of fact , last time McCarthy, and Rodgers were together, McCarthy got fired.
With all that said. I hope he is the greatest HC the Steelers have ever had.

Came to say this, but had to put up with five pages of bitching and name calling before I got here.

Moves I'd like to see with the existing players to provide cap flexibility this year and line up the future.

    • Release Malik Harrison (Save 4.7 million)
    • Release Mason Rudolph (Save 3 million)
    • Release Ben Skowronek (Save 2.3 million)
    • Extend Patrick Queen to lower cap hit
    • Restructure TJ Watt
    • Joey Porter Jr Extension

Not impossible...Always some team with a great year one year, struggle in the years after....I mean, only one time since 1997 all four teams who make the conference final all make the playoffs the year after. So it would be nothing new

Agreed. That's why even not winning a playoff game , still getting to the playoff as much as we had should not be scoffed at. 13 times out of 19 years we made the playoffs. That is not easy to do for any team, or HC.

That's a good signing, Brock Hoffman is an upgrade over Ryan McCollum and he can play guard too.

And yet he won two Super Bowls, is one of a few QB's who has multiple 500 yard games and 6 TD games, and has easily HOF marks in all career categories. Ben was a stud.

Mike Tomlin is 8-12 (.400) in his playoff career. He is a defensive minded coach who averaged giving up 27.6 PPG in the playoffs despite having a top 10 defense in yards or points in 13 of his 19 seasons. With him running the defense and not LeBeau that figure jumps to 29.7 PPG. Does that sound like a HOF high end coach numbers to you?

I would say both can be true. Almost every game we gave up that many points in, the offense had something to do with it, whether it was Ben , or someone else. Like this last playoff game for instance. Our D actually gave up what??? While our offense gave more points, and easy points than our D did.
Ben is easily HOF, and so is Tomlin.
A HC that has taken His team to 2 SBs, 3 AFC Championships, 16 playoff appearances in 19 years, and never had a losing season in 19 years is a shoo- in, but I believe both are shoo- ins.

CORRECTION: The #Steelers and G/C Brock Hoffman have not yet agreed to a deal, per Mike DeFabo. The deal could still happen, but for now it's uncertain.

Hope they can get Brock Hoffman under contract. That's a very solid move.

Steelers signed Darnell Savage. 1 year veteran benefit contract, so it will hardly impact the cap displacement.

Seems like a solid signing since two of our new coaches have a lot of experience working with him in Green Bay and Washington.
