As recently as 2024 each team received $432 million from tv revenue rights.

If the average cost for each player is 3 million, and you have 53 players, and a 16 player practice squad. That's about 207 million just to pay your players. Now how much do you think it cost to feed all those mouths, staff, everyone in the whole organization, keep the lights on, maintain the facilities, so on, and so on.
I didn't even mention paying coaches.

Maybe Schenley Park/ Flagstaff hill but I can see the public outcry if the city gave that away

Salary cap us near $300M employee taxes benefits insurance etc are typically around 38% so that is another $114M

Poof all of the tv revenue is gone there

And the team receives money from local radio and tv stations along with the majority of revenue from their stadium .

Some owners have massive personal wealth that allows them to spend more on things like stadium renovations and the large escrow payments required for fully guaranteed player contracts. Owners whose wealth is primarily tied up in the team itself often receive lower marks from players for facility investment.

Steelers could renovate the bathrooms during the NFL playoffs. No one's at the stadium then....

Pretty much. They wouldn't have all these outside investors of they didn't need them, and their money.

Steelers have minority owners because they had to buy out some of the family members due ties to race horse tracks and gambling. Also to help navigate estate and inheritance tax.

I dont think any of these poor grades are because they cant afford to spend more.

GOOGLE AI Answer and I’m too lazy to track done something better:

The Pittsburgh Steelers have minority investors primarily
to provide capital for the majority owners (the Rooney family) without requiring them to give up controlling interest in the team.

    • Liquidity for Major Owners: As team valuations rise, majority owners often have a vast amount of their net worth tied up in the franchise. Allowing minority investors (often private equity investors or high-net-worth individuals) to purchase small, passive stakes provides the principal owners with cash to pay estate taxes, invest in other business ventures, or fund stadium improvements.

And yet the Steelers owners are ranked 28th in richest ownership by Owners, and,or Ownership groups as of January 2026. Bengals, Colts, Bears, and Green Bay are below us, not in that order, and that's it.
Sounds pretty poor compared to the others. Not to me, but the other Owners, and ownership groups.

None of it is real life though. Being a pro athlete is basically a pipe dream when regular people like us try to wrap our heads around it. The reality is if other teams are providing daycares, the Steelers will be judged for not doing it.

I see the Steelers Scored an F on their team travel ranking.

I am hoping that means no more Bus trips to Clevland. I can't think of another NFL team that makes their players travel on a Freakin bus to visiting games. A F'N Bus, can the Rooney's get any cheaper?

When was the last time the Steelers took a BUS to Clevland and won the game??? It is the Browns and the Steelers always get beat by the last place Browns because they have to take the Bus.

I am a grown ass man, so I can't remember the last time I took a bus anywhere; How Cheap can this team get?

I think SB is much lower on this list. I know its the goal every year but only a good 3 or 4 teams are SB contenders during FA.
