Crazy World of Arthur Smith stat I heard...

His offense has never overcome more than a 13 piont deficit to win a game, although when you've watched his offense for 2 seasons it's actually not all that surprising...

You know that is almost the same exact stat that Josh Allen has, and I bet if we dug around, it would be a stat many in the history of the NFL has.

 

I was thinking the same thing............ Not many around here would know about this Guy? Person? Freak?

 

I hate that my Buckeyes hired him.

I hated my Steelers hired him.

I just don’t see what he brings to the table.

As I've asked before: was he better or worst than Canada?

 

Josh Allen led 3 comeback victories just this past season when they were down by at least 15 points.

I think worse. He had a much better QB than Canada. Maybe a better tandem at RB.

Both sucked, however.

Smith is definitely better than Canada. Much better play design and a better understanding of offense in general.

Of course, saying someone is better at coaching an NFL offense than Matt Canada is like saying that someone is a better human than Hitler.

You haven't lost a step! I thought I got my "better than Hitler" comment in there first. My wife asked me a question so I got distracted for a few minutes. I then replied to the post, but you were like a cornerback sitting on an out route....and I paid for being late!

 

It definitely looked/felt, and probably was, as you said.

But he had better QB and RBs, OL seemed better and results were pretty much the same. Maybe WR was worst...

 

The QB was better.

The running backs were just a little different. Najee wasn't dynamic but he was powerful enough to get tough yards.

The OL is maybe a little better, but still dependent on young players in key positions.

The wide receivers were awful this year. I mean they were really bad. Big step down. When defenses aren't afraid of wide receivers and nobody is getting open, they just compress the field and make it difficult to run the ball and use the short passing game.

Smith's use of the tight ends is very good at times, but his use of Jonnu Smith aggravated me to no end. Washington and Muth are the two tight ends that should have been on the field the majority of the time.

I'm hoping for bigger and better offense this season with better weapons.
