    If Tomlin wanted this he could've just asked to be "fired" contractually. Rooney would've done it for him no doubt.

    Also, Rooney will likely do right by Tomlin even if he were to get back into coaching. He could field trade offers from a bunch of teams and then let MT decide where he wants to go from the list. I am 100% certain that Rooney wouldn't play hardball and force the team MT desired to match the top offer. He'd just take it and wish Mike well...
