Yet Herbert will be a 'Top 5' QB in the preseason. The Chargers get vastly overrated every season by the media.

Stroud has clearly regressed as a QB and is on his way out of the league.

Wow, I wouldn't go that far but he really needs to rededicate himself to the position.

My money is on the Rams. Give me Stafford vs Darnold.
Still wouldn't shock me if NE won the whole thing, but I'm taking the Rams.

I don't want them to win, but I give them credit for making the hard decision to fire a coach after only a year. The guy they wanted was available and they jumped at the chance to improve the team.
We took the easy road, the road of complacency and look how it turned out. We had a chance at Vrabel and Ben Johnson and ownership chose to sit on their hands. We got what we deserved. It's so frustrating to me. They better get this hire right. Change is hard, but sometimes necessary.

Buffalo and Baltimore are in the same boat. They chose to sit pat despite a lot of failures, and in the end, they're right there with us.

I tried to tell you about Stroud a while back. Big time choker. I’m a Buckeye fan and I’ll admit it. Yet the only Buckeye QB of late that had won anything gets belittled because he was drafted in the 6 th round, nothing he could control. Winners win, chokers choke.

They also have a franchise QB who is almost twenty years younger than what the Steelers had.

Tomlin knows offense, he was a WR in college.

They were still in the game and you are 2 wins away from the Superbowl. Screw the feelings of your starter, you should be trying to win a championship.

How can defensive coaches not know offense? Their job is to STOP offenses.

Wasn't about feelings. However, in this case I think you are right Mills probably should have come in. Seeing what he did this year for the team. Stroud has looked worse than Sanders.

True but before this year, nobody was expecting the Pats to be 14-3 and one game away to be in the super bowl.Even with the easy schedule and that they had a young talented QB....Vrabel has done a great job

I have been seeing this a lot this weekend people trying to compare New England situation to Pittsburgh, they went 4-13 two years in a row and spent like $300 million in free agency.

Again, for the 300 millions, If spending money in free agency was so important, the Redskins would have been a dynasty in the 2000s....You still need to pick the right player

Who said anything about Maye or Williams? Are those the only 2 QB's who can ever win a SB?
What the Steelers should have done is go for 2 guys who had a very, very bright future; Vrabel or Johnson.
I'm all for patience and consistency, but when exactly did Tomlin show anyone that he was going to get over the hump?
The guy had a HOF QB, and the best RB and WR in football, and if not for 2 dumb penalties by Pacman and Burfict, he would have lost to a backup QB in AJ McCarron.

Maybe we wouldn't have ended up with either Vrabel or Johnson, but they should have at least tried.

The Patriots were also one of the youngest teams in the NFL because they drafted and developed young players. Letting them learn on the field. They took some lumps, but now the team has gotten enough things right that they have put themselves in position to fight for a championship. Sometimes living with some mistakes and going with younger, more athletic talent can elevate a team if the drafting and development are both good.

Of course, finding a franchise quarterback to be the face of your team for the next 15 years helps, but you can't find one if you keep signing veteran quarterbacks that are shells of their former selves.
