You really are determined to ignore the facts in service of your face narrative, aren't you?

So you're saying the team that gave him his big break, employed him for 19 seasons, and had his back at every turn is somehow screwing him?

Tomlin had the best situation while having the loyalty of the organization in a way that no other head coach had.

The terms of the contract were known when Tomlin signed it, and it was completely understood by the man with the most secure head coaching situation in the history of football.

Tomlin stepped down. The team had him under contract for another year, and with the option for an additional year that was the team's prerogative to use. Tomlin stepped down and the organization now has to conduct an exhaustive search for his replacement while he was supposed to be under contract.

Mike Tomlin is not the victim of anything here. The Steelers could not have treated Tomlin any better.

Lol He quit while still under contract. If the Steelers would have fired him would he have still taken his money owed to him?

What is the point of that question?
Everyone is happy he quit, Art is happy, fans are happy, he is happy. Release him from the contract, instead of expecting a draft pick if he wants to return somewhere else!

ive seen him in interviews. Agreed, i think he would enjoy being a commentator. He has enough money, he doesn't need to coach anymore. Im just glad he and the steelers are moving on. It was long overdue.

Because that is what the team has coming to them from a contractual standpoint. They earned that opportunity to get compensation.

Would you be alright with the team firing Mike Tomlin and then not paying him? It would be basically the same thing because it would be a breach of contract.

Im okay the way it is. Steelers are not paying him because he resigned, now just release the man, it's the right thing to do, instead of being an @ss waiting for someone to ask for a trade. Do the right thing!

It's not the right thing to do. The right thing to do is to expect the coach they paid tons of money for nearly two decades to honor the contract both parties entered knowingly and in good faith.

It is a binding contract and the team has that coming to them as part of that contract. The team is doing NOTHING wrong. Nothing.

For crying out loud. Let it go.
