OK tanking is out. they just don't do that. this video with the bus is talking about QB. sure a good QB is needed.

is that how they are looking at it and do you agree? i look at the rams and see an old QB which can still play but 2 really good WR's for him to throw to. yes the NFL model has changed since they have changed the rules which have hurt coverage. so you exploit coverage right? isn't that with really good WR's?

part two: the pass rush. is it less important for the pass rush to get to the QB and putting all your eggs in that basket like we have. TJ, Highsmith, herbig, sawyer. < the later two are doing a good job but herbig will be due soon. question is do we spend less there and concentrate more on interior DL and corners and safeties that can cover?

they talk about the league changing, true but just changing the coach without actually changing the team is kind of a moot point. the redistribution of wealth so to speak. where this team puts it's money for players or positions has to change as well.

i'm not so sure that just trying to find a QB is the answer. we have one. if the league is changing does the philosophy of having to have the first round QB change too? can't we spend money on people for the QB we have to throw the ball to?

shouldn't we spend money on offensive linemen that pass block really well instead of run block?

shouldn't we limit our defensive money to OLB and shift to coverage and stopping the run and collapsing the pocket?

    What say you?

You said that we have a QB. Who? Who do we have at QB right now that can lead this team to a SB in the next 2-5 years?

No, I still believe games are won in the trenches, the team that controls the line of scrimmage come out on top.

Look what Houston did to us. Phillys did to Mahomes, Bucs did to Mahomes.

The best corners in the world cant cover forever, need pressure on the QB.

that's what i was talking about. the trenches and less from the edge. guys that can push the pocket back into the QB and stop the run. rely less of just two edge rushers. coverage on the backend is also important. how many times did we see a guy running free behind our defense? kirk did. 3 times against the ravens. it wasn't the first and only times this year on 3rd down we allowed a long pass to convert. i do think we are OK at strong safety if they sign dugger back and elliott and castro are here. free safety is a problem.

While that is true, it is also true that a good pass rush makes the corners look better. We have a good pass rush.

The reason why we lost to Hoston is mainly the offense which had 3 turnovers go thier way and only produced six points. You just can not win that way 97% of the time.

I am glad AR is gone. He was a great player 5 years ago. That was then and this is now. Now he's checking down passer until he must go over the middle and deep when the Steelers are down two scores or late in the game down 3-7 points.

Broom him, Tomlin and his jokers at OC and DC the Steelers have.

Art Rooney II is rebuilding the QB and coaching staff. Don't buy his lip service that he is not!
