Something to keep an eye on in the playoff game against Houston.

Safety needs to be a high priority in the next draft.

If they win on Monday, could Elliot return?

Could they, or would they, put Elliot and Ramsey out there at the same time?

Concerning no doubt, but I think scheme plays a role in this. Tomlin/Austin have discussed that if they cannot stop the run they are not able to stop the pass. Optimistically speaking, I hope they can stop the run more conventionally against the Texans and keep the backend under wraps.

Unlikely for next week, I did hear he is walking around at the facility and Ray Fittipaldo recently said he could potentially return to if they make a playoff run.

If Elliot was healthy I think it would be him and Ramsey at this point

dugger has not played badly. clark has his moments. elliott would be nice to have back. castro could play some on run downs if needed. the kid tackles well. FS is the problem. ramsey needs to patrol the deep field and quit trying to do it all.

Safety is a big draft priority Elliott can't stay healthy; Ramsey will be making over $17 million next year Clark and Dugger aren't worth bringing back.

Dugger has been playing like hot garbage after getting off to a hot start. That TD he gave up was pathetic.

Hope they’ve ironed this stuff out before tomorrow night.

So cast off players that other teams were willing to dump in trades have glaring flaws?

    Color me surprised.

Pats traded Duggar for a reason.

Phins wanted to dump Ramsey for a reason.

I like the clip where he says “the coverage is busted so badly, I don’t know who to blame”. lol

amazing how safety play has sucked at the end of this season and last. They seem more lost as the season goes on They blamed Minkah last year and dumped him.

I think we as fans vastly underestimate just how dumb some of these dudes are.

In the Packers game last night there was oodles and oodles of blown coverages. Read a response from one player and he said it was guys just not remembering what the call asked them to do and playing the wrong defense.

What round would you take this safety?

Winner. I have said many time people either don't watch other football, or they don't judge it the same.
My favorite example: A Wr on a LB. It happens in almost every game, every week. Hell I have watch it happen to us, and everyone complain, and the very next time we score , we do it to the team we are playing, and crickets, and tumbleweeds. LoL

If they had a shot at Caleb Downs in round one you take him, more than likely he will be a top 15 pick then I think in the mid rounds the Steelers need to draft a safety.

I’m sitting on my couch watching two teams do things that if the Steelers did then the Steelers internet would just start yelling about coaches and how crappy they are.

    LBers on WRs
DBs failing to take down RBs in space
    Penalties

It’s almost like this stuff happens in every single game …. Nah….that can’t be true….

That's a coaching problem if they can't teach the game after 17 weeks.

Robert Smith (former Vikings RB) talked extensively about how people would be shocked at how much of NFL prep time is repeating simple tasks because most players are incapable of mentally getting it.

I’ve heard other players mention it as well.

Reading through this thread and apparently according to some we should accept poor coaching/play because you know, other teams do it too.

I’m not too worried….those big plays given up against the Ravens were mainly due to them selling out to stop Henry and Lamar Jackson doing what he does to every team.

We aren’t going to run into a power run team like that the rest of the way.
