Reading rumors of A. Smith being back in the mix for a HCing gig. I wouldn't be sad to see him move on. He's been ok, but the Steelers can do better.

Depends on who they replace him with. Tomlin will likely just promote someone on the staff before bringing in another bonafide OC. He’s only hired two real OC’s his entire tenure. I’d be more open to a new OC if Tomlin moves on.

Don't care about defensive or offensive mindset. Need a coach who will stress fundamentals and discipline, select smart players, and will not be afraid to hire smart coordinators.

Please no more defensive HC's. Just get a good DC like Broncos and 49ers did.

Someone similar to Ben Johnson, young innovator... would be ideal for Steelers moving forward. Noll, Cowher and Tomlin were in their mid 30's when they were hired.

Hire LaFluer and bring Jin Shwartz over to coach the Defense. The Browns maybe losing their HC so Shwartz could be looking to move. He would at least bring an aggressive mindset on defense. We haven’t had that since Lebeau.

Colbert was always great until we started getting desperate and drafting out of character because we wanted to win now during Bens last few years. We have sort of been in a mix of that ever since Ben left instead of truly being committed to properly building the Roster. Again I truly believe it is heavily influenced by Tomlin. His tenure is winding down and he wants to win now. I get it but it has made us do things we haven’t traditionally done in the past like reach for players we shouldn’t have reached for.

We have been kidding ourselves ever since the last three years of Ben's Career. Thinking were a player or two away and approaching it like that instead of blowing things up and doing a proper rebuild. That kind of mindset makes you do stupid things as an organization like extend Watt when it was fair to him or to us to do that extension. He would have been much happier signing with Philadelphia and competing for bonafide championships instead of what we have here.

For the record, Tomlin and Kahn wanted to move on from Roethlisberger. Blame the owner for giving him an extension, hoping for that one last push.

I have not heard any names other than pure conjecture.
Tomlin signed that extension and it looks like he will remain here at least through the 2026 season.
But I do wonder; there is an extensive list to address in the offseason. Does Tomlin look at that and say "Nah, I'm good" and goes into the booth?

There's going to be a few staffs fired but I'd rather not pick through those, I'd rather rob one of the playoff teams.

Brazen isn't the word I'd use.

Audacious would be more applicable term.

Freeman isn’t coming to the Steelers, they can’t handle the kind of money Notre Dame’s endowment has. ND just signed Freeman to a long term contract.

Research Nick Saban’s coaching tree. That’s the lineage this team needs.

That's some rare air right there. I'd settle for a single branch. Tomlin can't even claim that.

Freemans handling of the non playoff situation showed a weak constitution. Don’t want him anyways.
