Who knows? I don’t think the outcomes of games are scripted, and there's zero chance the players are in on some kind of vast conspiracy. Is this what you're referring to? I've admittedly only glanced through the thread.

For what it's worth, I think the refs and certain NFL officials probably are corrupt and I wouldn'tbe surprised in the least if we were to one day learn that they've done things to "help" a favored team win, or at least hit certain statistical benchmarks – but, if so, I suspect that which team they may favor is mercurial and more or less based on directives from the betting markets rather than considerations of pre-scripting a grand story arcto degree that you would see in the WWE. I mean, it's entirely speculative, at best, and unless a whistle blower comes forward, there's nothing to really work with other than circumstantial evidence.

As for the team losing today – it wasn't DK's fault, entirely, obviously. I just said that his idiocy was *likely* a contributing factor. I didn't see the entire game, so I don't know the exact issues, but the score tells me that the team clearly wasn't prepared, at all, for a game that that should have been cakewalk, which is a recurring theme throughout the Tomlin era...but that's a separate topic.

Are you suggesting that DK is a victim of the NFL gave him an "undeserved" suspension? Surely, he would know better than you or me if the league is fixing to suspend players unfairly to help push a narrative. If so, then why would he even tempt fate, knowing that any tiny bit of aggression would be heavily penalized?

Oh wait, I know - like many other immature characters in the NFL today, it's because DK lacks impule control and discipline. At the end of the day, it's still his fault for taking the bait. His reaction is something I would expect from a 14 year old, not a seasoned veteran WR1.

100%. His dumbassery was just a probable factor in the overall suckitude. Much of the blame has to go on both the coaches and other active players.

 

It was probbaly the tipping point for another disastrous season. Took advantage of a Lions team that has completely fell to bits this year, and limped into this position in a no Burrow season and the rats being under-par as well,

I'm not arguing with you. I'm simply making the point that DK was a complete jack*** for what he did and he deserved a suspension, but was a 2 game suspension warranted when the NFL has had similar events and not even a single game was handed down. I think a 1 game suspension was warranted, certainly after an appeal considering failing of the NFL too.

That being said, I believe DK should have his contract voided because he clearly put himself above the entire organization and likely cost them a playoff spot. That would be true accountability, but you can guarantee that isn't happening.
