Figure the Steelers have to go 2-2 at a minimum possibly 3-1 to get the division.

    Miami
    @Detroit
    @Cleveland
    Baltimore

Miami game is huge because you have to assume Watt will still be out vs Detroit and we were likely losing there regardless. If we can beat Miami I see a scenario based on Baltimore schedule that a win at Cleveland gives us the Division. A loss vs Miami and we are likely playing for the division in week 18.

Whichever school allowed the Dolphins to practice yesterday should be kicked out of the WPIAL

9-8 could be enough to win the division this year!

One scenario is Steelers only have to go 1-3 as long as the one win is the game vs Baltimore….since I think ravens will go 2-2.

Random thought but I wonder if they went to Latrobe stadium

The Steelers play under lights there the stadium people know what an nfl team wants and the Steelers have the connections

    1 hour drive

I forgot about the Bengals they could very well finish 8-9. If we only win one more game even if it's against the Ravens then the Bengals win the division.

If the Steelers are lucky enough to get a victory and a Raven's loss combo this week, The Steelers will clinch the division with a victory over the Browns in 2 weeks.

At the very least, if the Steelers beat the Dolphins, the Steelers will control their own destiny throughout week 18, regardless of what any other team does.

When was the last time that the Steelers played the last month of the season and not rely on the scores of other games in order to make the playoffs or win the division?

I think Baltimore could lose out. Maybe win one game. Not super unlikely that we get in with a losing record.

My best guess would be RMU or Duquesne

To be honest, I don't care about the Detroit game, I'm only concerned about our division games this year. Before anyone says anything, of course I want to win all of them

Ravens just took care of cinci 24-0. Theyre not giving up. I think 1-1 coming into the last week to be 8-8. I think we go 2-1 as well to go into the final week at 9-7. Even if we lose we get the tiebreaker with a better conference record. But we cant do worse than 2-1 these next three games with the loss in det, hopefully if there has to be a loss.

Before the Bungles game today, I was more concerned with them possibly running the table than what the Rats might do for some reason.

I feel better about our chances even though the math does not agree.

TBH, I'm expecting to win tomorrow to go to 8-6. Also expecting to be 8-7 after Lion game it's that Brown game that got me worried. They will go all out. I'm guessing their hate for us won't be enough to stop their fans from selling their tickets to Steeler fans. Why sit in the cold when your team is crap.

Seems to me Rats at NE and GB are sure losses.

So if they sit at 7-9 coming into Pitt and we are 8-8 with lone win against Browns, are they still alive?

Edit: Never mind. Checked the ESPN playoff machine. We must win 2 for last game to not matter (assuming Rats lose next two).

It would be extremely disgusting if we cannot at least win against the Fish at home and beat the lowly Brownies. Bare minimum really before showing our faces in the playoffs. If we can`t do at least that, why bother?

We have the talent to beat miami and cleveland. Detroit? Probably not. Unless Herbig and Highsmith prove to be better pass rushing tandom than watt and highsmith. That being said, Our running game has to get in gear also or were not going anywhere.

Steelers win next three games, they clinched the division, regardless of what Baltimore does. Steelers would clinch in week 17 on common game tiebreaker.
If the Steelers beat the Dolphins, they will control their own destiny through the rest of the regular season, regardless of what any other team does.
They can finish the season win loss loss win and still win the division

The Steelers already control their own destiny. Win out and win the division. No help needed.

    Losses

    Seattle: (11-3)
    Cincinnati: (4-10)
    Green Bay: (9-4-1)
    Chargers: (10-4)
    Chicago: (10-4)
    Buffalo: (10-4)

    Wins:
    Jets (3-11)
    Patriots (11-3)
    Vikings (5-8)
    Browns (3-11)
    Colts (8-6)
    Bengals (4-11)
    Ravens (7-7)

For the most part, 7-6 is very reflective of who they are. They're beating who they're supposed to beat and losing to who they supposed to lose to. Patriots and Bengals are the only real unicorns here.

They're a 8-9/9-8 team. Just how we get there in a little up in the air as we can beat the Dolphins and then win out. I'd say the only good news is that the Ravens are as, or more, dysfunctional than our Steelers and 8-9 just might be good enough to win this awful division, with the Ravens. closing out against the Patriots, Packers and then us.

Miami and Cleveland are musts. If we win all 3 (including Lions), there's a chance the Ravens drop one of their next two against NE and GB and we don't have to beat them at home week 18. Otherwise... we probably will end up having a "win and in" situation at home vs the Ravens week 18 lol

They've actually controlled their own destiny since week 13. But a win vs the Dolphins, guarantees control the rest of the way. They will not have to watch scoreboards of other games on weeks 16,17,or 18.

Steelers win vs Dolphins, Lions, Browns, the Steelers will clinch on week 17 due to common games, regardless of what the Ravens do. Week 18 would be irrelevant.
