I don't know why, but I have always thought this was Styx. I lost a trivia because of it. LoL

 

This song popped into my head this morning for no particular reason. My mind is a jukebox set on random shuffle!

 

Seen him with the Cult back in Chicago. We cover this tune

 

Had a big crush on these women in the late 80s........

They were big in the 80s. Don't know whatever happened to them.

 

To be honest, if it wasn't prog metal, metal, country music, Bluegrass, or it didn't play on MTV in the 80s, I probably didn't listen to it.

 

Ah yes, when MTV actually played music videos. What a concept!

 

Yeah , You, and Me both on that. They started doing TV show instead. Dumb IMO.

 

In the early days of MTV, I was in Mexico most of the year, primarily in Cabo San Lucas. We all gathered at the only place in town that, A) had a satellite dish and B) had a subscription to this channel we had heard of, but not seen. We'd go to the Giggling Marlin for happy hour! It was kind of a double edged sword though. Songs that you really liked but, then you would see what they looked like? Yikes!

I've never heard that before. I really like it!

 

I thought the Blues Travelers did a great video on this. They played behind the curtain, and had a fake band playing for them, the whole thing was a spin on the Wizard of OZ.

 

The lead singer Raul Malo has an amazing voice. The band is pretty freaking solid too. Sadly Raul passed after battling cancer.
