It is 1000% Arthur Smith's playcalling. He is horrible.

He doesn't get many opportunities because they play so many TE sets.

I’d be curious what Muth’s stats are?

I don't think they can be much worse.

I’d be curious if it’s Arthur that has sidelined Muth, or if Rodgers is the one that put Muth in the doghouse?

Bowers or Smith, DK or Chase, it wouldn't matter with this offense and OC.

Targeting the wrong player is just as bad as no targets. Rodgers said in his latest PC that Metcalf is basically doubled every game. Then why is Rodgers not targeting other players? Scheme? Players? This offense needs revamped because it was supposed to be a TE centric one and it is anything but that (sans Washington).

Here's Smith in the game, missing a block on a blitzer (and Warren is tackled for a loss). But A. Smith likes him for his blocking....

Rodgers has said multiple times they need to get Muth involved more. I believe this is 100% Smith, he has his guys he likes and also you need to be able to block in Smith offense and Muth is the worst at it of the three.

% targeted on routes run and first down rates for Steelers receivers:

    Screenshot 2025-12-04 071526.png

Sure, let's keep targeting the guy that has the lowest 1st down rate. Help it make sense....

(unless they start having him run deeper routes Smith isn't doing much to sustain drives. In fact, he's probably a negative.)

I realize there is an entire thread devoted to this pinned at the top of the forum....but this is what Arthur Smith does. He fails to get the ball to his playmakers (you can use that term however you may like) and fixates on getting the ball to guys like thge back-up TE and the FB in the flat. He literally got fired in Atlanta for doing this kind of nonsense.

I think its Arthur against the Bills Muth got no targets, when the offense is struggling you shouldn't avoid getting one of your best receiving targets involved in the game. I remember in one game Arthur called that end around hand off to Jonnu twice it didn't work either time, it looks like he's playing favorites.

He did this last year with Cordarrele Patterson. In a crucial 3rd or 4th down play Smith would call a pitch out to Patterson who at that time in his career ran about a 6.50 forty.

It defies all logic, really. And Tomlin’s comments are pretty annoying. A lot of capable guys? If that’s the case, why is our offense one of the worst in the league? If they were lighting it up, you could justify that comment and Muth’s lack of snaps and targets. Give Muth Jonnu’s snaps and see what happens. it quite literally couldn’t get worse.

I'll bet when he coached peewee ball he always put his son at QB even if he sucked.

Being on the field but not catching the ball fits your version of him doing something?

Every player that comes here - flop flop flop...why?

IDK but there's one constant in Pittsburgh.

    This
My most concerning thing about getting old
    Never looked good
But the mind gets my body in trouble thinking it can still do things that I did when I was younger
    Not happening
    Sometimes it’s quite scary
