The Steelers have claimed WR Adam Thielen off waivers

another washed veteran who would been great 5 years ago for this team

 

Poor old guy wanted to go to a contender apparently...instead he joined the circus!

 

I eat soup with forks all the time. And use my hands to drink the broth. Tomlin isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

 

I knew this would happen when I saw he was released.

Is the goal to compete in some kind of senior league?

Thielen can't be too happy probably thought he would end up on a playoff team, at least they admitted the Slay signing was a mistake.

Steelers are so old they play yacht rock in the weight room.

 

Signing Thielen mid-season shows how much they think of the other WRs on the team.

I think that might have been a tongue in cheek comment.

Thielen is a bigger body WR and has probably slowed some as he has aged (ie plays more like a TE).

 

he is basically a small TE at this point in his career

 

This was a must signing.

Releasing Slay brought the team average age down so they had to counteract. Also, heard a rumor that Thielen actually attends film sessions.

Probably end up with both Thielen and VMS playing in the Baltimore game. No wonder the QB/WRs aren't on the same page.

 

This would have been a great signing 6 years ago.

 

Since the WRs only run routes <5 yds, he’s a perfect fit

 

Probably a replacement for Scotty Miller.

 

At this point I'd take AB in a heartbeat

 

Louis Lipps is only 63 years old and probably still a better option than Calvin Austin or Roman Wilson.
