I realize many of us were born in different decades. HG Wells Time Machine came out before I was born, but I loved it as child.

My mom would let me stay up late on weekends to watch movies. There was no cable TV in my early years so it was mostly old movies on after 11PM.

 

Not in order:

A Christmas Story. And TBS play's it for 24 hours on Christmas and I still watch one. Family member actually had a Leg Lamp.

The first movie I remember seeing was Star Wars. I was in 3rd grade and that movie became the whole world.


I remember Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. I really got into KISS after that. Which made me really want to play guitar.


One summer the twin theater near me had .99 double features during the week. My friends and I watched The Dark Crystal probably a dozen times that summer.


Clash of the Titans is another movie I watched seemingly on repeat as a kid.


I remember when I lived with my grandparents for a short while and my grandmother watched Blazing Saddles with me. She kept threatening to turn it off because of the language, but she was also laughing as much as I was. Somewhere in Junior high by then.

 

So many Limpet fans.

I loved the Don Knotts' movies.

 

11 and under.

Goldfinger. Nice. Sean Connery was the best Bond.

 

I just watched The Russians are Coming again. Alan Arkin was the man back then. He was awesome in Catch-22.

 

I agree but I was thinking it was for movies when we were young children. When Star Wars came out I was in the Navy.

 

Good movies but I don't thing you were a young boy watching those movies. American Beauty was awesome but not for kids 10 and under.

 

Where were you stationed? I was a Navy brat and used to watched most of the movies at Luce theater on, what was then, NTC in San Diego. Back when movies had an M rating for mature audiences. We were never denied admittance to the M movies.

 

I actually had shore duty for 2 years in Hawaii. Last 2 years on ship in Norfolk, VA. I went to A school in San Diego. I loved it there for the 2 months I lived there. I went to the Zoo a lot.

 

I always loved Louie Anderson's bit on the SD zoo. I haven't been in years. The city council, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to charge 16.00/day to park in the zoo lot!

Jeh and I were already old when these were first released. We both have a mantra that says "We remember the Dead Sea before it was even sick!" Good movies though.
