Tomlin is stuck playing checkers and has failed to realize that this is a game of chess.

Overall this season, I blame Tomlin and Khan for trading Pickens nd leaving this offense without enough weapons. That was a factor today, but Rodgers deserves all of the blame for the strip sack for a touchdonw that turned the game today. He held the ball way too long. He needs to either throw it away or just go down and protect the ball in that situation. The Steelers had a four-point lead. There was no reason for him to press thers.

This was after him playing poorly in the first half.

#10 the crazy thing is he extended him last year. Absolutely the worst possible front office decision by the Steelers ownership in a long long time. No way that should have been done.

It's much too late for that. Even if they lost out they probably wouldn't get a top 10 pick.

To hell with this team the Bengals helped them out by beating the Ravens, but they couldn't even take advantage of it .

Bingo, because he parlayed that into the longest tenured coach and has been paid massively. The most telling stat is only 4 seasons with a playoff win with one superbowl in his second season with a veteran laden team that held each other accountable. He gets credit for that win but then only 3 seasons where we had at least one playoff win. Not acceptable for this franchise. its like a one hit wonder who had a #1 song and then nothing really much after but paid like he was the rolling stones.

And if we win next week, we’ll be up a game plus the H2H tiebreaker on the Ravens for the division lead. It sounds so crazy after what we just saw.

I see people reference that crowd all of the time. However, I have never actually seen someone post it other than a couple of times as a jest or sarcasm. It seems that since they did that, there is a 'lose for a draft pick' crowd but I don't know who any of them are. I really don't think that there has been anyone posting that they should do that. Some might have a demon on their shoulder whispering it into their ear, but I have not seen anyone really advocate for it.

There have been plenty of folks on this board who have consistently pushed the “lose for a higher draft pick” preference.

AR has great knowledge on the game and still good (but fading) talent. I have noticed that when a receiver curls the wrong way or is not where he expects them to be, he is visibly angry and says something to them. However, when the shoe is on the other foot as it was today, nobody is holding him accountable on the field and he has only a very few times in past games done the chest tap to acknowledge that he bears the fault on that throw. Today he had a lot of bad throws IMO. 2 standards on this one I think. I guess it does no good to rub your QBs nose in his bad play during a game, but he should probably not blow up quite so bad on his receivers for that same reason.

They should move on to the Dolphins or something then. Brian Flores said they like doing that....lol

Tanking should never happen, even if there is some benefit to doing so. Always play to win.

In a year that people seemed to feel we would be a very tough division, we sure have turned out to be a bunch of pansies. The way the Ravens and Steelers are looking right now, it is not impossible that the Bengals could take the division now that Burrow is back. The schedule looks pretty bleak for the Steelers. The Ravens have it a bit easier but the Bengals do play them 1 more time and that could help swing things to the Bengals a good bit if they win.

Either way, the only team from our 4 that is going to the playoffs is going to be the one that wins the division with the way we are all playing.

If Tomlin is mailing it in he should do Steeler Nation a favor and come to terms on a buyout with Rooney.

i think we need to clean house, a buyout should happen regardless.

There is a lot of money involved. I am sure that has a big influence on what happens. But.......You have to know when it is time to move on. Tomlin has never given any indication that he is capable of self assessing like that.

Romo kept mentioning the same run plays over and over
Yet, we did absolutely nothing to adjust the defense to stop it

While the team is still alive even when they look as bad as now it’s dumb to say lose out or lose on purpose. Once they are mathematically eliminated I change my tune.
