You part ways with Bags Tomlin and hire an Offensive mind. Then I would feel comfortable moving up and drafting a QB.

The new coach comes in and is not forced to keep anyone on this staff.

One HUGE advantage we have here is once hired as HC, you have job security. Would be blown by firing Tomlin.

I think the pattern for us is you have to have at least a terrible season before being asked to retire.

The last three head coaches have all been 30-something defensive assistants. I doubt Art II deviates from that regardless of the game having changed. Steeler way, you know.

I'd venture Strummer and S.T.D. are leaning toward another Tomlin 3 year extension. They love them some mediocrity.
