i know Peat will get the start at LT and i hope he holds up but if not will they move fautanu over there do you think? i hate the thought of calvin anderson getting put there. will they bring anyone else up? cook or driscoll? driscoll can play right tackle if they move fautanu to the left. inquiring minds want to know. :smiley1::cool:

This has been discussed perpetually ad nauseum. It shall continue to be said moving forward. Troy Fautanu switching from Right Tackle to Left Tackle creates essentially a chasm for the Right Side now. Whether or not if Jack Driscoll or whomever else can play Right Tackle shouldn't be the question here.

The question should be how injured is Broderick Jones?! If the stinger in his neck is more serious than the team is letting on, book Offensive Tackle for Round One in 2026; whether people like it or not. Pittsburgh cannot afford to play the waiting game if they are to bring Aaron Rodgers back.

Given how messed up Aaron's wrist is, playing musical chairs this late in the season is essentially tempting a career ending injury for Aaron. Roll with what you have.

There is nothing that hurts a young lineman's growth and development more than switchng him from side to side on a regular basis. It's a horrible idea. Any gain toward blindside protection would be mitigated by the fact that you have now weakened both tackle positions.

well that has already changed with BJ going on IR. he wouldn't be back until the cleveland game. with rodgers injury we should want the most quality left tackle at the position. that would probably be fautanu. we can fill in a right tackle easier with peat or driscoll. that is what i'm talking about. the draft has nothing to do with it at this point. i'm talking the next 4 weeks.

Broderick is out for the rest of the season.

As for fielding the best five?! I agree. That said, field the best five by putting them in the best position to succeed. Not doing so only amplifies the risk.

Switching Troy Fautanu over from Right Tackle to Left Tackle now?! This late in the season?! That is a recipe for disaster. If anything, even with Broderick out, should a switch were to happen, Tomlin would have made that switch, in game against Chicago, at that point in time given how Calvin Anderson was still a GameDay participant.

I doubt they’ll move him I think they’ll just bring up next in line, Anderson.

While I see Troy as a future LT… for this year, it is probably better not to move too many players around

Do we hope for the Bama LT to drop to or pick now?

    I severely doubt it.

Mind you, I have Proctor going Top 5. Men like him, with his movement skills, size, agility, power and length?! They don't come around often. He does need some polish but it isn't nearly as bad as the National Sports Media make it out to be.
