Just goes to show wins and loses are meaningless for a pitcher. Skenes 20 game winner on a real MLB team.

Per Google AI - "The worst win-loss record for a Cy Young winner depends on whether it's a starting pitcher or a reliever. The lowest win total for a starting pitcher is
10-9, achieved by Jacob deGrom in 2018, while the lowest win total for any pitcher is 2 wins by reliever Eric Gagne in 2003. The worst record for a reliever was Gagne's 2-3 record. The lowest number of wins for a starting pitcher in a full season is 13, achieved by Fernando Valenzuela (1981) and Felix Hernandez (2010)".

So, for a starting hurler, looks like Skenes .500 record is the lowest ever as is his 10 wins. Not sure if this is good news or bad news regarding getting awarded the Cy Young? Obviously he excelled in spite of the Pirates organization as far as other pitching stats. Funny, only other 2 Pirates to claim the award were on very successful teams, Vern Law in 1960 (won WS) and for Doug Drabek in 1990 where Pirates finished 1st but lost 4 games to 2 to Reds in NLCS. While not exactly a "Participation Trophy", it very well may have been a feel sorry apology award considering the franchise he is stuck with for now.
