He is an absolute beast but here is the problem:

    Through 10 games he has

    18 catches
    209 Yards
    1 TD

You can get that production from anybody. Another example of how piss poor this offensive philosophy is.

Ok, time for some math geek stuff........

I am making a few generalizations here. I am using a 10 yard average speed when the reality is that at the end of the run he would have been at his peak speed and that would be higher than 15.61 mph. Also using his advertised weight of 265 which nobody thinks is right.

So, using 10 yards of his run of hash mark to hash mark(dropped the first 10), and a stopwatch, he covered the distance in 1.31 seconds which equates to about 15.61 MPH. Using his advertised weight of 265 pounds, he was generating 2158 foot pounds of force. The final guy he hit was mostly blocked by Calvin Austin. That final guy was DJ Turner, #20. He weighs 185 pounds. Austin's block absorbed most of his movement. Giving him 5 MPH, that gives him 154 foot pounds of force.

That is a foot pound difference of about 2,000 pounds. It would be like running into a 2000 pound object and trying to move it. That is why he went flying like the bad guy in a Asian anime cartoon.

That is the vehicle you need in the zombie apocalypse. Every movie I have seen has roads covered with abandoned vehicles that are blocking the roads. With this, who cares if they are blocking your way? And in homage, I will put a bobble head of Darnell Washington on the dash. lol

A few parts of this problem I think. Arthur Smith has Jonnu Smith riding his coat tails, and we have too many good TEs honestly. Friermuth, Smith and Washington are all legitimate #1 TEs for any team. If we had another WR on the level of DK, the TEs would see even less targets. They are also on a team that sees the run as their core identity.

You are absolutely right. My point was we have this monster and he has 200 yards and 1 TD through 10 games…. That is a problem.

Soft hands like Eric Green and a road grater mentality. A freak of nature.

That left side pass where he dusted off 3 players was a thing of beauty. The last player tried to punch the ball out and and got launched! :lolol:

I totally hear what You are saying my friend, but JMO, right now he is more a help at TE.

I respectfully disagree. What it shows to me is, there is only one ball, and they have 3 TEs, a WR they paid a lot of money for, and 3 rbs they are trying to get into the mix.

Well that is all true but I feel with a guy this good we need to incorporate him more than he currently is. 200 yards and 1 TD?? It’s not like we are loaded with great receiving options besides DK. Dumb offensive strategy as usual.

You do realize that the Qb has a lot to do with which player gets fed more.

No it’s certainly on the QB too. QB or play design or both this guy is underused I feel like he has the potential to do a lot more like a Gronk (I know he’s not that good)

He’s sure a hell of a lot more fun to watch at TE. I could almost hear him yelling “get off me little man!” on that big run.
