    Gotti 1996
If you like mob movies this one is pretty good, Armand Assante was good in the John Gotti role.

I like Travolta but Assante was a way better Gotti.

Surprised that is still on HBO.

Anyone seen the 2025 Frankenstein movie directed by Guillermo del Toro? I know we've discussed movies that have been remade so many times over (needlessly) but this is done pretty well. Macabre, grizzly yet touching at the same time. LOL. Follows the 1994 "Mary Shelly's Frankenstein" movie script (Robert De Niro) vs older classic Franken-movies. Enjoyed it - the monster actor at 6' 5" is much more believable than the 5-8 De Niro and is a true badass when he needs to be. Kind of like the 5-7 Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher vs the 6-3 Alan Ritchson on Prime.

I love recliners in theaters. I know the theaters lose some seats by installing recliners, but I will go out of my way to find my movie at a theater that uses recliners.

I kept hearing good things about the Assante version and I finally found it airing for free on Youtube.

I haven't seen it, but My Cousin said it's freaking great.
Have You seen Victor Frankenstein (2015).
That Frankenstein monster was pretty bad a$$ . I think I was the only one to like it.
I know a lot of people said it was way off from the book, but as someone that has read the book twice, because I thought I missed why people thought it was so great, I say that's a good thing.

I'd like to see this. It looks like it is far more in line with the Stephen King book than the 80s movie, which was based on it, but not exactly the same scenario. I'm hopeful that this will be good and closer to the book.

I've been a pretty big fan of Tron since the first movie came out, and I thought Legacy was pretty good. So I finally got a chance to go see Aries, but my expectations were low, especially considering some of Jared Leto's not-so-great movies recently.

I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few things I felt like they should have followed-up on from Legacy, but it was actually good if you like Tron, and there were some really cool fan service sections (done in a good way) that had me smiling. And Leto being a little bit wooden as far as acting goes doesn't hurt anything because he's playing a "program" so it's actually fitting for the part.

Supposedly much closer to the book.

But so far, it looks like it's flopping. I'll still watch it eventually.

I watched the The Smashing Machine last night. It was just a little to Vanilla for me. Wow the look for the Rock was great and big, I wonder if his tats were removed by CGI or Makeup?

When it started I had high hopes, but then it just kept bouncing around, and never got into the details of what was happening. I would have preferred if they stuck more to one storyline, His Fighting History, the Drug use, the family angle, or even the tournament storyline. I walked away feeling like I learned nothing about this man, but just saw a 2 hour movie trailer.

Is this based on a book where I could learn more about the details? Seems crazy, but I feel like I missed the whole point of this story.
