My thoughts on reg season wk 9

Skwrownek saying what all of us were thinking.

 

Echols is 28. This isn't some young kid with great upside. He is a veteran who is well established as a below-average slot corner. He is fast and looks great at times, but he makes some terrible decisions and he is a liability against the run. See the late touchdown for the Colts. That was an ugly failure by Echols.

He's a stud in a way that doesn't show up in the stat sheet. Our team is a better rushing team with him out there, his value as a blocker is immense. He's not a great receiver, but he is good enough to need to be accounted for (and a nice red zone threat to boot). I would consider him the true TE1 of the team, and I think that we should value him (and play him) as such.

Ah I thought you meant Washington... Fautanu's been good so far this year though. Would love to see him continue to improve.
