Big contract explains the low compensation

Its insanity at this point. The solution to our problems is yet another overpaid washed up DB that was benched.

I understand trying at least the guy has had some success. Not 100% sure but looks like there is an out after this year so I think Pats will end up with the dead cap.

Rolling with Thornhill, Clark, and Peppers is frightening

Problem is, I just doubt this guy is any better than Thornhill, Peppers and Clark.

We just signed Safety Darrick Forrest too. He played 4 years for the Redskins and was on the Bills and Colts practice squads earlier this season.

I would be okay if they trade for a WR if he has more than a year left on his deal.

This move is in direct response to Elliots injury. We are about to go up against the best RB in the league and losing Elliot was a big blow to the run defense. Dugger is a box safety and better than Peppers.

Okay, but that's going to be costly. Who would you have in mind?

Actually I would be interested in JaKobi Meyers and Rashid Shaheed but both are free agents after the season, if it's for a late round pick like a 5th it might be worth it.

Only good news is that he should be reinvigorated to get a new contract, here or somewhere else. I'd personally rather use depth pieces or even practice squad guys who are younger than 26. If we're going to give up 30+ the bulk of the way, it might as well be with guys that are fighting for a job and shows effort.

Excellent def are not available or if are they are PRICEY

They have a ton of cap room n need something besides the garbage they have, can cut him in March n get out from this contract

Worth a shot, but w Mikey still running this chit show don't expect much

    Unfortunately

It’s been said that the Jags are listening to offers for Brian Thomas Jr. He’s struggled so far this season but Id be all for that if true.

Rookie contract until 2027. Jags deny they are open to trading him but BTJ was brought in by the last regime, maybe he is struggling under Cohens schemes, maybe he doesnt like how he is being used, if they are butting heads behind the scenes, it might be possible they’d trade him especially since they want Hunter to be the face of the offense. They even did a promotion with Lawrence and Hunter, I might be a little ticked off at that if I was Thomas.

That's a terrible argument. Would the defense be better right now with Fitzpatrick instead of Ramsey? Yes

Would the offense be better right now with Pickens instead of Jonnu Smith? Without question.

Yup. The run defense is far worse without Elliott. Playing Taylor also means they need to change their blitz schemes and try not to use Echols, who is horrid against the run.
