Brian Kelly should have been the 1st HC fired. LSU has had a top 10 recruiting class every year for the last 5 years straight, and He still can't win the game he must.
Those are the HCs that should be fired when they fail. The HCs of teams that continue to recruit in the top 10 year after year, and they can't do anything.

Perhaps is those coaches that can make something of good recruiting classes that are special. One without the other is pretty lacking

Yeah I don't dislike, or like him. I just see certain teams that are consistently in the top 10 of recruiting, and when they can't make the playoffs, You have to believe it's because they aren't coaching correctly.
Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, and Ohio state have been in the top 10 of recruiting every year for the last 5 years straight.
Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Florida have had multiple top 10 recruiting in the last 5 years. These team need to always be in the mix.

Mayhap the coaches have something to do with recruiting in some limited way thus affecting how they perform in the recruiting area???? JUST ASKING!!!!

Yes they have some to do with it, but how do You explain teams that do it year after year, no matter who the coaches are???
For example: Ohio State has had top 10 recruiting for 14 , or 15 straight years, that's during 3 different HCs , I believe.

LSU does not have the money for the buyout. LSU would be on the hook for $53 million.

LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio state all have many many many years of top 10 recruiting ,no matter who the HC is.
Those are the types of teams that's HCs should be fired if they don't win the games they should. They have no excuses with all the recruiting there teams get, no matter who is the HC.

I got home in time for to turn on the TV for the second half of A&M beating LSU last night, and ugh. I don’t follow the team closely enough to have a firm option whether Kelly should be canned, but damn that team has ISSUES.

Before the season started I had my eye on Nussmeier as a potential late 1st round QB for us next year, but this is turning into a wasted season for him. It’s hard for me to evaluate him because whenever I have watched parts of LSU games he has been under constant pressure. A clean pocket seems to be a foreign concept in Baton Rouge.

With so many supposedly disappointing teams, are there enough quality coaches out there to replace them all?
With the changing landscape of college football, parity is playing out right before our eyes. Until the
NIL is figured out or some sort of revenue sharing maybe on the horizon I would hate to be an AD at many
    of the Institutions.

The main reason for firing him is....they always recruit highly, no matter who the coach is. They have been a top 10 recruiting class in 9 out of 10 of the last 10 years, and 2026 is already considered to be the same.
If You can't do better with those horses, You need a different HC.

Did he forget to recruit offensive linemen or do they have a lot of injuries there? It’s ugly.

They all have injuries, but it's the coaching.
This is the only time You will see me talk about the firing of College HCs, is when their teams continue to recruit top 10 , no matter who they have at HC. Teams like Bama , OH st, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Michigan, and so forth.
This is why I believe many fans of College football are unrealistic in what they want from their teams. Like the Razorbacks, I want us to win, and compete year after year, but we haven't recruited one time in the top 10 in the last 10 years. The best we've done is 20th once. LoL. I'm just not a fire a coach, and things will magically be better guy. I've seen the difference in teams.
