Not living in Pittsburgh, how tough is the media on Tomlin? From a distance it seems like he is never challenged with a tough question or ever has to explain himself. Being a fan of the Yankees and NY Rangers-their manager and coach are asked challenging questions on a nightly basis with tougher follow up questions. Thoughts please

The local media is critical but don’t have the sac to ask him hard questions. The national media is as delusional as some on this message board.

Why ask any difficult questions? All you will get are cliches. The guy is a walking talking encyclopedia with very little answers. I wish some stupid organization would offer us a 5th round draft pick for him.

The Steelers are untouchable in PGH, some of the reporters try to ask hard questions but to no avail.

When you have a MLB team that will never amount to anything and an NHL team that were great but on the downswing an NFL team that does make the Playoffs is gonna get respect.

Most of them are softball pitchers to Tomlin and don't ask follow up questions when he speaks.

The exception is Mark Madden who sticks to the facts and is rather spot on in his analysis of the Steelers. Madden is not invited to Tomlin' press conferences.

He is somewhat knowledgeable on football and does not like Tomlin. And he is very capable of calling him out. Perhaps this is why?

I don't know if the two had a falling out.

I like Jack Sparrow. The young man can break it down with video, enhancing his opinion.

Tomlin, compared to many other NFL coaches, takes softball questions. He gives his answers that are very guarded and seldom says " that my fault "

Not one to do one on one interviews. Why?

Let me guess, you are a fan of his?

Tomlin has lost that new car smell long ago. His hires for the coaching staff stinks, his game time decisions are poor, and his use of the red flag often cost the Steelers a time out. What does he do well?

I'm not there to hear his halftime speeches but judging by the Steelers lack of adjustment during the half they obviously are not good.

Tweedle Dum has not won a playoff game in eight years and counting. What is the record for head coaches not winning a playoff game in the NFL? I think Tomlin is 2md place and may be 1st place in time.

I would have fired him long ago.

But he remains thanks to Art Rooney II.
