His accuracy was terrible in this game, and he refused to throw the ball on time, despite open receivers, including over the middle. At any hint of pressure he bailed.

I hate him and the Jets HC... the two of them could have knocked out 10% of my suicide pool, but nooooo...

Steelers do something right. Ben to Aaron we didn't have earth shattering QB's but we somehow were a playoff team. Fields was 4-2 for us I think.

Steelers new motto: We get the best out of mediocre QB's.

Seems like those 5 or 6 beating the drum hard for Fields have gone quiet.

    I'll ease their embarassment.

I was hunting for almost a half hour, to find the Tank/Manning thread where I said I think he's the real deal.

I was going to respond to my post, about how this did NOT age well.

I was then going to point out that, hey, this crow ain't too bad, tastes like chicken.

I was then going to go back for seconds.

Thankfully I was NOT on the Fields or Wilson bandgwagons, or I'd be so full of crow I might need lay down for about 14 hours.

Rodgers is defintely the best QB we've had since 2018 Roethlisberger.

Dobbs was MORE cerebral than Rodgers. Dude is an astrophysicist like Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

    This.

Justin Fields definitely looked lost but Tanner Engstrand looks even more lost game after game than Fields does.

I thought Fields played better than Trubisky and Pickett. I know that's not a high bar... but he really did for 6 games.

Fields only had 1 bad game, IMO vs Cowboys.... but that game was weird with weather delay. Colts game was a loss... but he played good in the 2nd half.

Not only did Fields play better than Trubs and Pickett, he was the best QB between the three. Compared to Russell Wilson?! Wilson initially had the edge but boy oh boy did Russell fade quickly down the stretch.

That point in time is when the team should have put Fields back in. That said, that wouldn't have made the six game skid the team had any better. However, I believe we could have made those games more competitive sans the Philly game.

Dobbs was smarter in a classroom and on the sideline, but not during games when the ball was in his hands.

I’ve always said he’s a hellava athlete and has a heart of a lion, but a QB he is not.

I always had hope for him, but I was never pining for him. He hasn't shown anything in the pro game to make me think he'll be more than a backup, and that hasn't changed.

He didn't deserve the bag he got, but it's really hard for me to judge a guy who has been a Bear, Steelers for a few weeks and Jet... two of the three are QB purgatory.

That's called coaching. For all the haters out there, I'm not talking about you @steel machine@steel machine When Fields played for us, the coaches tricked everyone (not me, I seen us win with duck Hodges) into thinking he had finally arrived ,but there was a reason they went with Wilson instead . LoL.

I disagree. We saw what happens when the D can't keep a team to below 21. He can't keep you in it, and they knew it was impossible to play all those games , and keep everyone under that score. Hell Wilson won a few games for us when our D let us down. Fields won no games for us when our D let us down, nor for anyone else in his NFL career.

Wilson was playing without Pickens in most of those games late and it was by far the toughest part of the schedule, far tougher than what Fields faced. It's not apples-to-apples.
