Your overall argument is correct. The statistical comparison you used is misleading. Both things can and are true.

True, but that $hitty Browns team had a D that this Bengals team could only dream of having and a better OL to keep him upright and to open the running game. Nowhere near the talent outside, but it was a team with pieces.

Strange move by the bengals. I guess they believe a minor upgrade at qb will get them enough wins to make some noise when Joey b returns.

"Well, first I have to tell you is that the Joe trade took us by surprise," Stefanski said. "That was not something that we saw coming. They called us and it happened very fast and happened not too long ago. Still working through all roster type of things. I always have to be mindful of our players and our players’ development, and I want to make sure that I’m always doing what’s best for our players and, of course, our team. … So I’ll let the week play out and make a decision later on that."

Translation: "Yea, we were shocked as hell the Bengals wanted to trade for a washed-up, old QB. We thought for sure he would be riding our bench for the rest of the season."

The funny part is that living in Ohio is awesome. People who talk smack on living in Ohio have never been anywhere near Ohio.

I spent 7 years living in Florida, and I spent at least 6 of those years longing for the sweet embrace of Ohio lol

It is more likely a desperation move to me. Zac Taylor could think that he's getting shown the door after yet another wasted season after the SB loss and AFCCG loss years. High expectations over there and 3 straight non playoff seasons could see the door, injury to Burrow or not.

They could also think that the division is wide open and if they can just hang around .500 until Burrow gets back that they can still take the division. We've statistically been quite bad to start the season, and Baltimore is in danger of starting 1-5 due to injuries and a disappointing defense themselves. We have a bottom 3 rushing offense a bottom 10 passing offense. We have a bottom 10 passing offense and an average rush defense. By all accounts we SHOULD be a bad team. If that is what they are chasing, they are probably thinking we will return to normalcy in the turnover differential and start losing games. I can totally understand that thinking.

I understand thinking they can get back in the race if they play well. If the Steelers lose Sunday, the Bengals would have a shot to get right back in it Thursday night at home. It is a hell of a long shot to think Flacco is going to save them behind that line.

I bet you're pissed you didn't get to celebrate the NBA Championship. ;) I think that could be Cleveland's only Championship since 1964 Browns.

If you'd have stayed you could brag about a few NFL pre Super Bowl era Championships and 1 NBA Title. Coming back to the Burgh you saw 14 Pro Championships and 1 NCAA title if you dig Pitt. Pittsburgh has a grand total of 16. Even our old asses missed the 1909 and 1925 (I have a hat for it) Pirate WS titles.

No freaking way. I'd take Florida over Ohio any day, and that is just for nothing more than the weather, floral, and fauna.

I liked Ohio even if 4 were dead in Ohio. (CSNY joke) I think it's the sport teams we hate not the State. Although I felt Philadelphia should have got the Rock and Roll HOF. I understood at the time Cleveland was in trouble and trust me, Philly gets a ton of tourism, they didn't need the RR HOF. I was just being greedy because I live a lot closer then Cleveland.
