I love the Stones. In my book the best of all time. Most on this board can't do what Mick is doing now.

I never been a fan, and I can't really say why, it just didn't jive with me. It has nothing to do with that type of music, because I like that stuff, so I can't say why.

I wasn't ever a fan of him either. Did he have a couple of good songs, yes, but overall I haven't been a fan. Again I can't break it down why.

I like Alice, but not Marilyn. I guess just being from a different generation.

I dug this song when I was a kid. I dug the tone of the guitars when they hold the chords during the verses. Hell if it comes on the radio now, I still crank it up.

I always liked this tune, and the way he sings it. Obviously this is lips syncing, and fake playing, you can actually see him play it wrong, but you don't hear the mistake, but it's an awesome tune anyway

I too love the Stones. Saw them when they were young. Saw them around age 50. I'm guessing they can still do their hits everybody loves but I don't know anyone who bought a RS album after 80-81. Start Me Up was last big hit I think.??

Keith Richards is living proof you can do drugs and still live a long life. Years ago Rolling Stone Magazine had an interview with him. He was about 70 at the time. They asked him about the years of addiction. He said he should have just used Coke. He said coming off H is a nightmare but after I do coke I'm just hungry as hell.

Another very talented singer/songwriter/instrumentalist from the 60's whose life ended tragically but at his own hand. Lots of good songs. Here's a bit of trivia from this song and many others by Del Shannon.

"The distinctive "flute-like" solo in Del Shannon's "Runaway" was played on the Musitron, an electronic keyboard invented by keyboardist Max Crook. The Musitron was a heavily modified version of the clavioline, an early electronic instrument that served as a precursor to the synthesizer, and it produced a unique, space-age sound that became one of the song's most memorable features."
