Im sorry(not really), but given the track record he used up any slack a long long time ago.

As a point of reference, Brock Bowers (LVR) has 91 routes run and 21 targets (69% of RR). Considering the Steelers have two capable TEs sharing the load it seems they are probably at the right level of involvement for this offense.

I was watching some footage from the Pats game and the Oline was alot of the times one block away from opening up a hole for Warren. If they can maintain that one block Warren gets a great deal more yardage. Warren is going to break a few long ones this year.

Tough as F. Dude was a monster and a load. Defense could have known the Bus was going to run and it would not make any difference. He would still run them over.

Spillane actually had a great game. Wish Queen could play like him occasionally.

Way too many of those outside runs were blown up by safeties attacking the line of scrimmage because they had no fear of the receivers.

Exactly. He takes alot of flack for his inability to block. That one block might have been his entire games contribution but it was good one.

What's up with Roman Wilson? Did he make fun of Tomlin or something?

The summer star barely played any snaps last week. With the injury to Austin III, Wilson, who is a better blocker and inside receiver in comparison to Austin, is poised to break out...that is if Tomlin lets him.

The Steeler fans are not getting the full story.

With the bye week, a change can be made easily for more playing time.

But if that happens it will be because of injury, not a coaching promotion that should have been.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee are in charge of the offense. One is a figure head, lives in his fears, and dresses like he is anti daylight / heat. The other calls the plays.

Hey, he touched the ball on the onsides kick!

I'd actually like to know what's going on with Roman. Tomlin and Rodgers made it sound like he was going to be a big factor in the receiving game, then....crickets. I had high hopes for him, and he's had 40 to 50 snaps, but still nothing notable, but it doesn't gel with what we were hearing before the season started.

I think a lot of it has to do with Arthur Smith offense he plays a lot of two and three TE sets, and Wilson isn't going to play ahead of Metcalf or Austin in one or two WR sets.

There is a talent drop-off after Metcalf that drops to Calvin Austin, then does another drop off.....
They gave Wilson a bunch of shots in preseason and he did what he did.
I don't mind him in the rotation, maybe he develops more - You have to run precision routes and have that feel for the seams and open places.
But Austin is barely a #2... he disappears too much and I don't know if he's capable of being a #1 should something happen to Metcalf.

Agreed - to that point, who do you take off the field for Wilson to get more playing time. Frankly, I’d rather have Muth and Smith as they can stay in to block or go out in the pattern.

Until our O-Line can play better, I’d rather not see a ton of 3 and 4 WR sets.

I thought Roman showed some flashes in preseason and expected more from him this season. With the shoulder injury to Austin, I would expect Roman to get some work over the next three weeks.

‘well if this is the fact they have 2 weeks to work on it because I don’t think Austin will be ready to go for 3-4 weeks. I will also say Muth has been silent in the Offense and that FG blocking from yesterday was atrocious.

What I want to know is why Kaleb was on special teams and not Roman Wilson? Kaleb has no experience returning kicks not to mention he's slow. We have guys on the team, including Wilson, that would have been much better suited for that role.
Hopefully we see Roman out there a bit more in the next few weeks.

I liked the running back they had yesterday returning kickoffs, not Gainwell but the other running back beside him. He looked good and quick.

Rodgers has players he trust. It's not Smith. If it was Smith, we would be seeing Freiermuth like we did last year.
