There you go with the misleading statistic again. That is literally one play and it ignores that the running game has been significantly weaker in those two games this season. It also ignores that the valid comparison would be the top three backs, not the top two, because Patterson was part of the rotation in those first two games last season as well.

There you go ignoring the game script again.

I gave a valid comparison, you just dont like the results.

You and I have issues because of your behavior with other members of the community. And eliciting even the slightest change in it typically requires moderator/administrator intervention and you being given a time out.

If you prefer not to get another, I suggest you drop the gaslighting and move on.

I don't disagree. My issue was that I didn't have faith that the FO would be able to address the other roster needs it had in the offseason while also finding a replacement.

In the end, I was surprised with the number of moves Khan was able to make - though of course how good/bad/ugly they were will continue to be a matter of debate. :lolol:

I don't like you using a misleading comparison. They were using three backs last season, so leaving Patterson's numbers out was misleading.

Your comparison also leaves out that the running game has been far worse this season.

What did I write that was gaslighting? Please feel free to PM me rather than post it here if you think that would be better for the discussion on the board, but I don't believe I did anything of the sort.

Running game not good again yesterday, 26 carries for 67 yards. Hopefully they get some of these runs to pop for some longer gains.

He just missed breaking a couple runs yesterday. They keep feeding him and those will come. That explosive element is what he brings that Harris couldn’t. They talked about chunk plays and how they need those in the offseason.

The important thing is they have increased his workload each game. Yesterday’s game is right where I figured hed be. Just keep feeding him, it’s only been three games.

Silly memes do not replace a well-constructed argument. Mine was one. When you make the valid comparison, the Steelers' backs produced more all-purpose yards in the first two games last year than this one. In any comparison, the running game is far weaker so far this season.

That is the only choice they have right now. The options behind him aren't great. The career-high in carries was nice to see, but it would be better if it didn't come with an average of 2.6 yards per carry.

I haven’t heard anything excessively redundant posted about Gainwell in a whole day

Funny, and I hope they are wrong, (they are a lot)but the guys on ESPN, I believe it was Monday, or Tuesday when I was listening said they thought he was a good weapon, but will never be a real bell cow RB, and they should limit his carries.
I thought they should up his carries.

He’s not a bell cow, hes not that type of back. I suspect he will stay right around his carry total from last game, 18.

Gibbs isnt a bell cow either, Id take a Gibbs on my team in a heartbeat. If Warren can be like that, Steelers run game will be fine.

I'd like to see him get 20 a game at least. He did some nice things in the last game.

Yeah, I'd like it if Howard can be like Justin Herbert, too. It's not impossible, but he hasn't shown he can do that. The difference is we have three years of Warren not being that as a pro.

You seem to be about the only one who cant see how good he is with the ball in his hands.

It’s 3 games in as him as the lead back, relax.

I see that he is a hell of a player, but saying he can be Gibbs after three years of seeing him not be that is incredibly optimistic at best.

We are three years into his career, and he hasn't shown that.

He absolutely has the skillset to be a Gibbs or Kamara. He’s already showed that in the passing game. Now we’ll see if he can produce on the ground in the lead roll, which is only 3 games into him being treated as the feature back.

If you want to include his 3 years prior, by all means, he averaged around 5 yards a carry.

So yes, he has definitely shown he can be that type of back.
