In the game against the Cowboys, the Giants were bringing in Jaxson Dart for a play here and there. He didn't do very much. I don't think he was expected to do much though.

Lots of talk on here in the past about when to start rookie QBs. Every team has different situations. In the case for the Giants, do you start Dart now, or wait? Why?

Wait for Dart and allow Wilson to be the sacrificial lamb.

While Ole Miss does have some good NFL Concepts under Lane Kiffin, the fact of the matter is that concepts alone are not going to win Football Games. Same goes for understanding the fundamentals, basics and principles of playing the QB Position. I would imagine that Dart is much better today than he was at the beginning of spring but he likely still has some ways to go. Both those reasons together make a strong argument but there is one more; New Yorks Offensive Line.

Andrew Thomas.... that is, more or less, who you have on the Offensive Line. Everyone else is below average at best to merely depth players. Much of this is due to bad drafting though poor development is also a major component. Putting your Rookie QB behind a horrible situation is what may ruin him in the long run. Clemson Trevor Lawrence, for example?!..... isn't coming back. What you see with him is a shell of what he once was.

In short?! Understanding the overall speed of the NFL, understanding how to play your position and understanding who is protecting you is paramount as an NFL QB; doubly so one of Franchise Caliber Quality and/or potential. I myself don't view Jaxson Dart as one but if the Giants are to make him one, they will need to do a better job overall as an Organization while Dart needs to do his part in becoming better.

Right now, the Giants are setting up Jaxson to fail; an example that has now been played out too many times to count.

I actually thought we were going to draft Skatterbo. He just seems like a 'Tomlin' type to me.

I don't understand that, why throw him up against one of the best teams in his first start. They play the Saints in a couple of weeks that would have been the time to start him.

I am definitely old school, not living in today’s Amazon Prime.
I would sit qb at least a year or two to learn, doesn’t matter how athletic they are. Qb is a cerebral position.
Understand, that everyone wants it now. Remember, good things come to those who wait.
Look at all the recent flops of Athletic qbs recently?!

Because maybe because Dart gave the giants the best chance to win!

This is also a home game,so I am sure the fans who buy this ticket are happy!

They were just saying on the Fan that Big Ben and Jack Ham really wanted the Steelers to draft Dart this year, he might turn out better than any of the 2026 QB's.
