Born and raised in the Burgh but lived in Philly sports market for 50 years. On my street there are 11 flagpoles with Phillie/Eagle flags a flying.

Lets face it, their teams are Champions. Phils probably finally get the WS and the Birds could repeat.

Pittsburgh sports is SH!T. And gonna be that way for a real long time. Steelers only real hope. I was asked yesterday why I am not a Philly sports fan after all this time?? Actually know two guys from the Boston area with similar situations who are now avid Philly sport fans.

Born black and gold, I'll die black and gold. To root for them would be a huge betrayal on my part.

Would you or have you switched alliances????? Not just football. I Will admit I would be happy if Sixers won it all but I sure the hell wouldn't celebrate it.

I only like to root against other teams and fans when it's just fun and not so serious. I'm a Steelers fan since '77 but grew up in a Saints household.

I used to be one of those my team and whoever is playing your team kind of fans. But my kids started playing at 5 and back then, the league held a draft every year. Kids and parents that were on your team last year may be on other teams this year type situation. You got to know pretty much everybody. It became a real community feeling. I just prefer my football that way now. Release the hate, embrace the game.

No, I have always been a Steeler fan, and can't switch now.....it too late but I do root for the Bears, but not if they play us.

Lived in California now for 60 years and still have 100% allegiance to Pittsburgh sports team - pro and college. I did pull for the Lakers sort of during their heyday but Pgh hasn't had a pro BB team for what 50+ years?

Almost identical to me. I too jumped on the Lakers bandwagon with Jabbar and Magic. Loved their last Championship because the HC is from my area and we use to play cards with his parents. When we see his mother she goes on and on about the millions the Lakers still owe him.

I don't count the Laker Championships when I talk of how many I've seen only the Burgh's.

I have 3 WS's / 6 SB's and 5 Cups and 1 NCAA = 15. If I counted the Lakers I'd probably have 30;) I do count the Condors/Pipers to myself. I went to about 20 of their games. I saw them win Playoff games unlike the Steelers;)
