    Same here.
Steelers the Redskins. (always disappointed my Dad - a Steeler for life)
    And
Anybody that plays the Cowboys. (I despise the "America's Team" crap)

Like you said, filling dead air but I was more taken with the idea of trading for him. I hadn’t even considered him but if they are interested, he would top my list to go after. Very talented and highly professional. Total opposite of a diva.

Checked with some contacts... John, Brian, Pete, a few others, even argued with Gruden....
I think the Steeler have made calls....
So it is good they are shaking the bushes.
Washington may have come up just because of the rebuild they are doing.

Only thing we have is a first round pick.

With the way contracts are set out and the current roster, there's an argument to go all in this year.

It could be not only Rodgers' last hurrah, but Tomlin's as well.

Then there's a year or two or rebuild with some decent pieces to slot a new QB and new HC alongside.

I put the chance of this happening at slightly less than my getting hit on by a supermodel

    This.

Unless the Steelers trade CA III, I dont see it happening. Why CA III specifically?! He is due for a contract extension.

As @Thor@Thor stated though, there could be a path to do it. However, my reasoning is very much different. Pittsburgh needs all of their 2026 Draft Capital to nab the next one. Have to draft that guy no matter the price.

    Include the Metcalf deal.

McLaurin is a #1. We don't need a #1. And as indicated will be cost a plenty.

Plus the conservative archaic scheme approach from Bags Tomlin and Arthur" Treacher's" Smith with the run first mentality.

Would be a colossal waste of cap space unless they are going full pass happy. Don't see it happening.

They will bring in a camp cut vet.

Plus Smith indicated that Austin III is the #2.

Well for Calvin it would be a “small” extension

If they pulled the trigger on something like this, they'd be pitting Wilson against Austin for the slot role - which would be signaling either little interest in bringing Austin back on a second contract, or little faith in Wilson to carve out a role for himself.

While I'd like to have seen them in a more established spot at the position, at some point you have to see what you've got in the players you've drafted. For me it's less about the cost of acquiring and re-signing McLaurin than it's about whether McLaurin makes your run-orientated offense better to the point that you're willing to invest that much in draft and cap capital to get him, rather than using it to better another area of your club.

As much as I like McLaurin, I'm more concerned about what needs to be done if the OL doesn't start coming together this year. There's a reason OT/OG contracts have skyrocketed in recent years.

If so, I have a few things I'd like to talk to you about speaking into existence.

The house right beside us is for sale. I hope he speaks into existence that the new buyer is Sydney Sweeney.
