Washington is hesitant to pay him it seems he's 30 years old and wants at least 30 million APY.

Came here for all of the “sign him sign everyone” types.

I could post a long nuanced diatribe in support of this, but I’ll likely drag it out over many short snarky spats in this thread. But just for fun go ahead and have at it.

This team is clearly in an “all in” one year Super Bowl bomb drop like the Buccaneers and the Rams of recent memory. Hell, even the Broncos with Manning.

So, if that’s the mission, then go ahead and do it. THIS is the skilled type player at the exact position that we need. If you are going to go all in then dammit, go all in…!

Hey I usually agree …. but I think in this case he is a great fit, and I would feel a hell of a lot better with the Pickens trade if we sign him.

This is the original Scary Terry from Rick and Morty. I wonder if He (Terry McLaurin) watches the show.

He's obviously doing this for a contract and will likely get it, but he would be an insane get

    Probably.

Digital age is followed by a lot of people. Id imagine that Terry does watch Rick n Morty. I know I do.

Seasons 1 through 5 are among GOAT discussion for Adult Animation for me.

    As for Scary Terry himself?!

That is asking a lot for sure. He wants to be paid as much as D.K. just got. Granted, Omar has shown that he can move the Salary Cap but gunning for Scary Terry might be a bit too much.

In addition, Omar has been on record in stating that he isnt trading away any 2026 Draft Capital. Those assets will be needed to nab the one in Pittsburgh where the draft will be headed. Omar needs all the firepower he can get to go get the one; whomever that may be.

If the consequences mean that the Steelers shall overpay Draft Capital wise, so be it.

He reminds me of a Hines Ward type player, would love to have him.

I agree that we do need one more weapon at WR but honestly I don’t know much about him. My son knows more about the NFL these days than I do and says that this would be worth going after. I trust his judgement on players more than I trust my own instincts. I do think the asking price would be very high though. The Redskins, WFT, Commanders or whatever we are supposed to call them these days will probably cave to his demands though. That’s usually how these things work out any more.

Commanders would be smart to sign him, IMO. He is a "Hines Ward" type of player. Not many WRs like that these days.

I completely agree! He's worth a trade + extension IMO. A WR room with Metcalf, McLaurin, Austin and Wilson would be gritty and incredibly talented. By all accounts, those personalities would work well together too.

Again, I don't think he leaves Washington, but I'd offer them a damn good package TODAY to see if they can pry him away before he changes his mind.

McLaurin will want long term WR1 money similar to DK Metcalf. That might be a bridge too far for the Steelers. They are missing a WR2 rather than another #1

I expect he will end up doing a deal with the Commanders anyway
