Even though i think the Steelers mishandled KP and screwed him over a bit, i don't want to see him do well, funny how that works…

I like the Manning family so I'm hoping he will be good and we will have another one in the league to add to the Manning legacy.

For Kenny's sake he better. He isn't getting another shot. Realistically speaking, I honestly don't believe it is going to matter who starts for Cleveland. Njoku and Jeudy are good but not great and there is very little to nothing behind them. Cleveland's Offensive Line also has questions; Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller both closer to the end than the beginning.

Cleveland's Defense is gonna have to carry hard. That said and again, beyond Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward, who are the other commodities?! Mason Graham doesn't strike me as a true difference maker like some make him out to be while their LB Corps is very suspect.

I'm just glad the road game against the Browns this year isn't a Thursday night primetime game, that's their Super Bowl and had our number there.

I agree Arch hasn't done much yet, but he has the prototypical QB size along with good genes. He is also very athletic unlike his uncle's Eli and Peyton.

I have a different reason for wanting Manning to do well. It would be one more QB added to the draft and taken ahead of the Steelers pick. The Steelers have their eye on a different QB but won't be picking in the top 10.

    Good logic

I still don’t see him entering the 2026 draft

I saw an interview with Archie and they were talking about how Peyton always said OMAHA. they went over some different things that could mean on a given play. Then the guy asked Archie if he ever said something like that during pre-snap and snap count. He replied, BLOCK! :roflmao:

    That does change things.

That said, he knows if he comes out after this year, he's probably the #1 pick, so waiting a year does nothing on that front.

It might be as simple as who has the #1 pick and he may pass (which team is the worst managed, lease player-liked in the league)?

Sadly, our Steelers are in the bottom half of teams now, but surely we're just outside top 10 of teams a draftee wants nothing to do with...

Browns are an easy answer, I'd argue the Lions used to be, but they finally tossed that monkey off their back.

Is it Colts, Browns, Jets, Raiders, Panthers, Bears (new coach, maybe a Lions turn-around)? I can see listing the Steelers just after those teams, so maybe we are top 10, but I'd think Mannging wouldn't withdraw from draft if Steelers had #1 pick (highly unlikely, would take a Rodgers, Heyward, Metcalf, Frazier string of injuries I think).

Now, if Colts or Browns are #1, he might go back to college. If its Jets, Raiders or Panthers, maybe he stays in given they all do have some WR/TE/RB weapons.

He has good reasons to stay in 2026 draft (first overall pick without question, risks college injury playing another year losing out of 10s if not 100s of millions) and good reasons to stay in college (NIL money, avoiding certain NFL teams)

I saw enough of Manning in college to this point to know he's the real deal. Fast as just about any mobile QB in the NFL right now, great arm, accurate. Does he have leadership qualities? He seems more like Eli and less like Peyton, but given a football family and a dad every bit a football stud as his brothers (just bad luck with injuries), it'd be difficult to NOT have good leadership qualities with at-home coaching. Did he drop his head when losing (probably not often)? I bet his dad corrected that fast on the drive home.

I'd trade more than required to get Manning if I am the STeelers. If it means 1st, 2nd, 3rd and more, fine. Do it. Obviously if we're picking early 20s again (Tomlins sweet-spot, backing into playoff, getting shelled in wild card), then its not really an option, some higher picking team can bowl over any team that wants to capitalize on Manning treasure chest.

If we're pick low teens or single digits, definitely do-able, but we'lll be fighting off 6 or 8 other teams trying to get Manning.

I kind of hope we either surprise and win division with Rodger looking very good for his age, OR we have some lingering, non-career-threatening injuries ot a few key players and end up in the top 8 picks. Even if we don't get Manning, there are some solid, if nothing close to Manning talent QBs in 2026 draft. We might come away with our Roethlisberger with pick 7 or 8 or 9.

Cam Ward was the #1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. His rookie contract is 4yrs/$48M. $32M of that is his signing bonus.

    https://overthecap.com/player/cam-ward/12361

Comparing that to what Arch will make with NIL is not even part of the conversation if he will or should come out early. If Arch waits just one more season, that rookie contract could be worth an additional $10M-$20M over Ward's. It's the increase in NFL rookie salary from one year to the next that you have to watch. If Arch plays out his full eligibility, that rookie contract could be worth who knows how much more than 2026. Meanwhile he's making NIL $$$. I just don't see him making the move to the NFL in 2026.

I'd almost be willing to bet money, and Have thought about it, that he will not come out this year. Again the Mannings preach learning all You can about the game at the college level 1st.

    Nor do I.

Barring the greatest ever season for a QB in College Football History, Manning isn't going anywhere.

Manning beat up on the likes of Colorado, Louisana-monroe and Mississipi State. Hasn't done much against real college teams so far.

I can't believe Steelers fans waste their time thinking the Steelers have a realistic shot at getting Manning in the 2026 draft if he declared. If a team has the number one pick they likely won't trade it anyway, and the Rams and Browns both have two first round picks in 2026.

I agree, EXCEPT if said team has a promising young QB already and needs lots of other talent around him, then a trade out of #1 makes all the sense in the world. There are ALWAYS teams ready to pass on a generational talent (they probably shouldn't), but they'll need more than normal draft pick compensation to do so (or maybe not, some idiot GMs are always around).

And once again the Rams and Browns can offer a better trade package if Arch was available, I'm not expecting the Steelers to try and get #1 they're more likely to trade into the top 10.

Are we still crowning Arch has a number 1 pick, without even playing a full season? Just asking for a Steelers fan
