the game against the ravens that we won last year showed how this defense could play. after that game and the playoff game it sure looked like an overall quit in this team. the playoff loss looked like they were just going through the motions. that was the most disappointing game i ever watched. i'm not sure i ever witnessed the whole team quit like that. just flat and disinterested. i hope i don't see that again.

    different discussion

no team would give 2 #1's for Cam, we could get that for TJ

    it is worth the discussion

esp if it is the jag or some other SUCK team where we can get rid of Tomlin and find a coaching staff that can DEVELOP an offense and QB

we will be STUCK forever at our current pace.

we played the BEST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE in DEC

    Cant you all see that?

    We were MEDIOCRE.

    we were FOOLS gold.

some of you were buying into the HYPE.

    we got OUTCLASSED hard!

AND TJ got hurt playing deep into the 4th Q b/c dummy Tomlin still had him playing......

It would be absurd to trade TJ right now he’s the whole defense. Imagine trading him we probably wouldn’t win a playoff game again….

    that is a dull argument

the Dolphins did not win a SB with Dan Marino, do you then trade him?

The Ravens have not gotten to a SB with Lamar Jackson. Do you trade him?

    Of course not.

We don't win w TJ or Cam or others B/C of TOMLIN.

    end of conversation

now - get 2 #1's for him and it is WORTH a conversation

Prefer not to trade TJ as well, but agree that you have to have the conversation for 2 #1s.

so why didn’t the dolphins win with Marino?

why haven’t the ravens won with Jackson?

I’ll wait with bated breath for an intelligent response.

No team will give up two #1 and have to sign him for $40 million per season. Need to play hardball and get 2 more years out of him. Make him play out his contract that he signed up for and franchise next year. Let him cry and pout and sit out a season if necessary. If he holds out for first 8 games and comes back mid season maybe he will be healthy by the end of season . lol

I'll eat crow on that, and even made a thread saying I'll eat crow.

However you're comparing a very different thing. Cam is generally always a great player, but I worried about his age with can he continue. While tj has nothing to do with age, it's flat out that he wasn't there at the end of the season.

So it's cautious of a what if VS straight facts.

I don't think we were fools gold. There were games we won on regular season that showed me we were a playoff team. Specially the Washington game.

I feel we changed 2 months away.
I think it's very possible this team saw they were in the playoffs regardless, and several gave up. And I blame Tomlin for allowing players to be like that.

I'll add one other thing for Pickens haters.... Pickens actually showed up. He was one of the few that did. Pickens didn't have a YAC career with us, but that playoff game, he did.

You must be new to football.

TJ is in a league of his own. Myles is close to him. But it's so rare to have a big time play maker, specially one at a position that could seriously alter the outcome of a game.

So while I don't like his last month with us. There's no denying dude is an insane beast, and if not for him we would have easily lost that Washington game and any other games that were close

So with that said, dang straight teams would gladly take on 40 million and cough up two first.

If someone asked me to do that for Tom Brady 6 years before he retired, I would do it.
Derrick Henry a couple years ago is one i would straight up do a mega deal for as well.

There's some players who are great, like Bosa. But there's some players who can alter games just by the being on the field. And that's TJ.

I'm not as old as You, but I just love giving references to younger people, and see them get that bewildered look in their eyes. LoL
In their minds they are probably thinking.......I don't speak Grandpa talk. LoL

For the 50th time.....How do You scheme TJ out, if the other D player step up.
Tell me ....how much did we move James Harrison, and Woodley around, Porter, Greg Lloyd, and Green, and others around. We didn't, what happened was when they decided to double, and triple one, the other stepped up, that is what's happening now.
Some of You act like scheme means adding more players, or some kind of magic trick.
If You scheme Your whole O to take away someone, then someone else must step up.
Again, go back , and watch what happens when they scheme to take away James Harrison, or any of the guys I mentioned.

Unless a team thinks they are one player away from winning the SB I don’t believe you could get one #1 for TJ at his age

You sound like a fool the HC isn't stopping Watt from making plays in the playoffs, he wants 40 million a year stop disappearing in the playoffs.

I think you are overstating his dominance. He's disappeared in big games. Certainly hasn't altered recent big games just by being on the field. I like him on the team, but $40M is too much IMO. Opinions differ.

    you are DULL.

he is SCHEMED out - Tomlin and Co. do not know how to move him around and use him

our SCHEMES SUCK in general, we get out-coached by the best teams - they double and triple him

he will get his $$, quit your crying

he is the best OLB in football

    one word:

    LeBeau

and I will add that those other players had HOF's around him.

    don't you see it?

TJ has not had much GREATNESS around him!

TJ will and should get his $$ or close to it,

TOMLIN ain't that good my friend, you don't get it

Watt told the team he didn't like being moved around, then after the playoff loss to the Ravens he said he was more open to change.

    1. LeBeau didn't coach all those players all there time, and ...
    2. He didn't move them around. Do you actually watch the games. He dropped them into cover, or they rush from their same position. He didn't move them around.
It's a waste of time speaking about scheme to you, You wouldn't know a zone blitz from a cover man 2 zone if if bit you on the a$$. LoL.
