Time for one of those 7 for 1 trades.

Even thought I want him here forever.

Get it while the getting is good I guess.

The only time I'd consider trading Watt is if someone is coming with multiple 1st round picks in a Ricky Williams type of trade.

Not only is the man one of the best defenders in the league, he is also the captain of this defense now. Others feed off his energy.

No you don't get rid of your All Pro franchise players like you do in playing Madden imo.

How sad is it, that we have reached a point where someone is being paid 21 million dollars, and somehow feels underpaid.

    What about last 6 games?

You know it's kind of like how some people feel about Tomlin not showing up in the post season.

He seems to disappear or not be at his best when they need him most.

Off topic but I love going into DD (Dunkin) and telling people I just paid more for my iced coffee then my ticket to see Led Zepplin cost. Also Aerosmith. Saw Zep for 4.00 and Aerosmith for 5.50.

    Sadly you're right.

I don't understand people who say, "he was double or triple teamed". Because isn't he always?.... he simply can't perform at the end of the season like he did the rest of the season.

Correct, some people don't want to look at the numbers of when you need someone the most.

I'm calling it out, just like calling Tomlin out.

I still have a ticket stub from a 1969 Bills vs Jets game at the dumpy WarMemoral Stadium in Buffalo. OJ Simpsons first game, Jets first game after SB III,last season of the AFL. Price : $4.50.

Trying to organize to take my 6yr old grandson to an NFL game this yr, it will easily cost me 50x that.

Funny, I want to be the highest paid non mod poster on the Steelers fans web site. It could happen. I could hold out on the what's Cookin thread this preseason. Just kidding. Don't trade me to the browns web site.:cool:

I'm surprised some 20 year old Starbucks employee even knew who Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith is. My daughter had a college age friend over who introduced herself as Jenny. I said I bet your phone number is 867-5309. She gave me a puzzled look and said "No that's not it at all."

He came back from an injury last season and was invisible. Maybe he just came back too soon, but I am on the DON'T extend him bandwagon, not at a highest paid defender or Edge rusher in the league. We'll be paying for PAST production, not future. BAD business to pay him MORE than he makes now, it should be less. If he agrees to less for say 3 more years, fine, otherwise, ABSOLUTELY trade him OR let him play out his contract (should be motivated) and leave and get the comp pick.

To be fair it wasn’t just Watt that disappeared.

The entire D seems to melt away when it comes to the playoffs.

That’s still not a reason to overpay the guy though obviously

I wonder how many of the posters calling for TJ to be traded were the same people saying that we needed to part ways with Heyward a year ago.

how will having TJ help our new young D-Linemen? that has to fall into the equation. they will concentrate on TJ which should help free up our newbies. i don't think TJ is quite at the point ben was at the end.

where many teams surround their franchise QB with players, we seem to surround our OLB. like he's the franchise QB. something is misguided here. so much spent on the defense which effects the offense. it has to. i can see benefit's from both sides of this picture but what's clear is this defense hasn't won us anything. similar to when we had ben, AB and the DQ man. they won us games but not the prize.

Have his last game playing on a loop at the negotiating table. The sloppiest and most lazy defensive play I’ve seen. Even the most basic fundamentals weren’t on display. I like the guy but he can hit the bricks if he’s gonna nose dive like that when we need him.

I’m sort of in the middle with both

Whatever the team decides to do I’m ok with

Not sure if that makes me uninformed or apathetic

    But I don’t know and I don’t care

in other words, when he plays the better teams.

but that is scheme by BETTER COACHING - we get beat ALL THE TIME b/c of better coaching.

    TJ gets SCHEMED out.
