The Ravens are the most talented team in the AFC, they are loaded at every position. The question mark is how will Lamar play when the pressure is on during the playoffs. Also Harbaugh is also good for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory when the game is on the line.

I agree kinda. I believe he should have been a weapon used everywhere, like when we 1st got him. Wr, Qb, Rb, punter, and so on. He was very versatile, but a full time Qb, He was not.

See the threads been hijacked so …

Have always said:4rth n goal, AND season on the line, AND all other things being equal. You can have Brady or Manning.

    I’ll take Ben.

Lamar and Allen may have the MVP trophies, but I don't see either of them winning two Super Bowls like Ben did.

Allen has been great in the playoffs in his career so far...The problem, his defense let him down so many time in the playoffs

If some think that the steelers are in rebuilding,I don't know what to said because since the first full offseason of Khan in 2023,he just sign old players like Peterson,Slay,Ramsey,Wilson,.Rodgers,etc...When you are in a full rebuilding mode, you don't do this

I think they are trying to find a balance.

They have clearly placed a lot of emphasis on rebuilding the trenches with the additions of Jones, Fautanu, Frazier, McCormack, Benton, Harmon and Yahya Black. It starts there. We have seen with the Lions and Eagles that team building becomes a lot easier when your big guys in the trenches are good. It hasn’t quite come together for the Steelers yet but the process is very clear.

Yes they have added veteran players but mostly on value contracts that don’t tie them up in long term commitments and in Russ’s case it’s likely to net them a compensatory fourth round pick.

They aren’t going full scorched earth rebuild but we can see what they are trying to do in terms of building strong offensive and defensive lines and hoping the likes of Rodgers and Ramsey can fill out the roster and help the team compete in the short term.

We aren’t rebuilding. Don’t you know you have to blow it all up to rebuild? Thats the only way to do it

This is only a half rebuilding...If it don't work this year,it will be the time to have a full rebuilding even if it would be like 4 years too late. This is not a young team and the ceilling is not that high

And stop to signing old players and have a step back for 1-2 years to have a higher ceilling after that and have a much younger team too.Don't need to be 3-14,just need to be much younger to be better after that

All of the older players are on short deals where the team can move on easily. They are not committing long term resources to any of these guys

What is ‘full rebuilding’? Tearing it all down Browns style?

Very few of the best teams in the league like KC, Buffalo, Eagles or Baltimore bottomed out to build their teams. They just drafted consistently well and got their QB when the opportunity arose

Similar to the lions in 2021,Seattle in 2010,Buffalo in 2017,49ers in 2017,etc...Don't need to tank like crazy like the browns in 2016 and 2017 and I don't want this but take a step back in 1 year or 2 and be much younger with a higher ceilling after that and be sure that your offense, defense and team overall are very good at the same time and have a similar age

The Steelers are better in terms of roster construction than any of those teams though, and have genuine star players like Heyward and Watt. The moves they have made this offseason shows us that they feel they are close to being a very good team capable of making a postseason run.

We will see if they are right or wrong.

I hope you are right but I am not sure...Rodgers would need to turn back the clock a bit and the defense need to be much better against great offense

I think they are viewing 2025 as a bit of a hit and hope with Rodgers. If it works then great, but they will need a lot of things to fall right for them all at once with the Oline, new look secondary and new pass catching group.

Rodgers has already said this is his last year and if they don’t look to have progressed as a team that may be the end for Cam and a few others as well.

There is nothing wrong with going for it as far as possible in 2025 as long as they don’t do anything stupid in committing money to older players, which they haven’t as far as I can see.

Edit: and ARod doesn’t need to turn back the clock necessarily. They need him to run the offence professionally, be good in the quick passing game, check out of bad run plays etc. They want to run the ball. He isn’t going to be what he was earlier in his career ever again and they knew that when they signed him

They have been rebuilding since Omar took over and so far he appears to be doing well

If he can find a quarterback next year this will be a good team
