It's not the secondary, it's can he stay healthy.

How much does this move the needle? Khan always seems to manage to leave a void in his dealings.

Minkah does make it weird. Still trying to digest. Guess they really like Thornhill?

Assuming the void at S gets filled with Thornhill as the starter. Ramsey will likely play some safety in his time in Pittsburgh as well (as well as slot). Ramsey will be used as an outside corner primarily, but I am willing to bet he moves around quite a bit too. Is the upgrade at corner better than the downgrade at safety? I think it is. Just my opinion though.

I think the biggest win in all of it is that we don't have to cut Minkah after the season and take on the dead money (or trade him for nothing). We get an aging, but quality player in return (and he is in the mold of what we like to do on that side of the ball). It also fixes the corner position as Slay is on a one year deal anyways... Ramsey and Porter will be good together, and I assume we will see Ramsey playing some slot and Slay on the outside in subs.

Big void at Safety but stacked at Corner.

That is, more or less, how I see it.

Porter says Ramsey is Beanie's replacement, not mines.

Beanie should be shown the door so he can get a headstart crying about not getting free access to state of the art Healthcare and recovery services like he did in college.

I hope Jalen Ramsey isn't going to be Patrick Peterson 2.

Fins sign CB Artie burns to replace Ramsey. No word yet if fins assigned a personal assistant to burns to ensure he’s in the right place on the field every play.

Simmons had 2 picks and 62 tackles for the Falcons last year, so it sounds like he was at least serviceable.

Well behind Peezy Jr and Slay were Trice and... that is more or less it.

Mind you, I don't believe that Ramsey is going to play Corner anyways.

Peterson was like 3 years older than Ramsey; I think he will play multiple positions in the secondary.

Maybe he can teach Porter to tackle

    Why not cover and tackle?!

Porter Jr. was better in year two in tackling though he still has some room to grow. Coverage though is where he was hit or miss. Hopefully having both Slay Jr and Ramsey can aid that; Gerald Alexander as well.

    True.

I'd personally like to get T.J. Watt done first though.

Nothing to do with your post but your short term generic plain wrap avatar reminded me of growing up Catholic and they covered all the statues during Lent and stripped the Church of all color elements. As if going to Church wasn't boring enough when young. I see Mutt is now back with Jeff. :smiley1:

I like the move of getting Ramsey I'm not sold on Slay holding up for the whole season as CB2, and if Bishop struggle at slot CB Ramsey can fill in.
