where would money be best spent? what position do you think we need the most help at? we seem to be in pretty good shape overall, but what is the spot you would most like them to reenforce? TE, C, G, T, WR, RB, QB, DE, DT, OLB, ILB, S, CB, Returner punt, Returner kick, Long snapper, K, P. what's your flavor. i'm going with TE since we lost parham for the season. what do you think?

Some reports from camp were high on Washington and CA3, but what can you tell from guys running around in shorts? The TE position does look thin from personnel perspective going into camp, but just as much or more lacking in a true nr 2 WR, on the d side would like to see another CB with experience.

Galbreath may be this year’s camp darling. He was getting some hype the last couple weeks.

Might be able to pick up a camp cut but you can’t depend on it

We saw how that worked out last year at WR

    Agreed.

On paper the roster is pretty solid, but a lot of that rides of people like Roman Wilson and Fautanu living up to their billing.

actually a lot can be told from practice in shorts. not a lot physically but footwork, reacting, knowledge of the concepts. less thinking and mistakes in movements. they say year 3 the light goes on and they move better without all the thinking first. both of these guys are year 3 really. ca3 lost a year but has an extra of watching and learning.

with the young players and guys coming off injures that were at one time pointing in the right direction i want to see them preform first. we may be alright if they are back to where they were heading. calvin anderson, dylan cook. not expecting a great deal out of kent but we shall see. bishop, nichols, trice. want to see that next step out of these guys. we have some young guys that i hope show their stuff . i like finding those guys right under our noses.

calvin anderson was looking up but had some freaky bad illnesses. cook was looking good until the foot injury last year. i watched him a great deal in preseason when most don't focus on the linemen in and out of the games. he played both tackle spots and didn't give up anything in pass protect from either side. actually looked really good. bishop actually quietly had a really good year for a rookie. that should get better in his second year.

No argument there, and one thing about being in shorts is it reveals a body development to an extent, that's what a couple of guys said about Washington. It was not even something that was immensely different, just the body looked more toned and his movement seemed faster and with more clarity and purpose. This could be both better conditioning and that light going on.

How much does Slay have left? Is this another PP situation? I would consider spending some money on another corner.

broderick jones as well. i'm telling you i saw a picture of him last year without a shirt on and he looked nothing like any type of athlete. flabby with no definition at all. arms, middle, neck, chin, chest. pretty bad looking. like he did nothing. i hope that is changing.

A very good question. I live in the Philly area, and he definitely showed some signs of slowing down last year, but still played pretty well..
Truth is, I don't know if it was age catching up to him, or the fact that his desire was waning. It was well known locally that he wasn't going to be re-signed by the Eagles and only wanted to play one more year whether they won the SB or not.
That said, he was well liked and respected on his team, and in the community. I don't know what his market was, but was surprised he came to the 'Burgh as opposed to returning to Detroit or going somewhere like Baltimore, SF, or the Rams/Chargers

Galbreath has not been practicing because of an "undisclosed" injury. Not the greatest news, hopefully it's not a back (hernia) or neck thing which can derail a players career. We need him for depth now that Parham is out.

I would say a depth TE signing who would compete with Conner Heyward for the 3rd TE and I think we should spend a little and bring in WR 2. I like Austin and Woods and I am hearing positive things about Brandon Johnson but we could use another WR.

yes i was reading that about galbreath too.

i'm hoping some of these other WR's take a step forward. taylor or williams. skowronek can i believe if used. rodgers has a way of finding guys that are normally not every play playmakers and finding them in crucial times for big plays.

Wide receiver, corner and offensive tackle.

Complaints about Mike Williams are premature due to the fact he played a lot of snaps but they just wouldn't throw his way. If they bring another one in will it be much of the same? I believe that Austin III was said to be the starter opposite Metcalf by Smith. With Wilson working the slot.

Grabby and Slay on the outside. I would like to see another outside corner brought in. Unless Trice can man that spot.

With the uncertainty of the tackles, Fautanu coming off season ending injury and Jones who on the right side last year took a step down can he play above the line now on the left? Dylan Cook, Calvin Anderson and Gareth Warren a rook are the only other OT listed.
