Why can't we get top WR's like this?

    Because context matter

I can't count Batch,Leftwich,Dixon, etc since in the case of Dixon,Dixon had only 2 starts with us(one for AB) and I don't think AB had played on offense(in special team yes, since he had a kickoff for a TD vs titans in 2010)...He had never played a game with Byron...Byron had only 1 start and it was in 2012 and AB was out for that game....AB had played only 2 games with Batch(1 in 2011 and 1 in 2012) and it was before his peak

See more feelings over facts. LoL. So He played with all I mentioned, except Byron, but He played with others I didn't mention.
Answer one thing. Was what I wrote a lie??? Did AB, who had played with multiple Qbs in Pittsburgh ever catch a TD with anyone besides Ben???

Yes since it lack of context way too much....None of those QB beside Ben was a top 60 QB in this league in those years...Me and you would been better that the version of Michael Vick in 2015,this is how bad VIck was...Landry Jones was like Terry Bradshaw in comparaison to Vick. This is how bad Vick was with us

LoL. So the real answer, without all the feelings, and by just using facts is, no STD ....without Ben, and even though He played with multiple Qbs in Pittsburgh, AB never caught a TD without Ben throwing him the Ball.
This is not as hard as You are making it. LoL

Who was the best QB the steelers had after Ben when AB was with us?

It matters, but it's also true for all positions.

Even Mahomes and Brady had some struggles when their receivers were poor.

There will always be outliers.....Like Mike Evans, Dhop in the day, Moss, but most Qb make the wrs.....it's that way all the way down to Jr high.

Still a huge gap between a Ryan Fitzpatrick type QB vs a complete washed Michael Vick

The receivers with Winston(QB with Evans for like 5 years)never struggle to produce.Even Jeudy in Cleveland had big games with him in 2024,but the problem with Winston are of course the turnovers who are all-time bad

Thats not all the Qbs Evans has played with, Hes played with 7 different Qbs and has had a good year every year...of course this will come to a end , just like it did with DHop, and Moss, because as they get old they can't do the same anymore.

True. However, I think it was Ben that turned him into a top receiver in the league. A good qb helps a wr and vice versa, but I think a qb helps a receiver more. Jerry Rice would have been good receiver anywhere, but he wouldn’t be considered GOAT (arguably) , if it weren’t for Montana or Steve Young.

it goes both ways as well. if a WR can't get open the QB can't throw him the ball. well he can but the results won't be good. when that receivers gets open the QB has to have the ball there. QB's that can and do know where and when that receiver will be open comes from years of playing and working together. it's a two way road.

That last sentence tells us a big part of why his production wasn't as good without Roethlisberger. Every quarterback on that list was a has been or a never was. We've been over this before. You keep bringing up Vick even though you know that's a terrible example. It is a small sample size with a quarterback who was horrible during his time as a Steeler. Of course, he was going to be better catching passes with the Hall of Famer than the collection of scrubs. That doesn't mean his greatness was entirely a product of the quarterback he played with. They each brought out the best in the other.

StatMuse has Brown playing only five games in his career without Roethlisberger, and two of those were before he was established as a starter. I'm not sure if that was right. I thought it was more than that.

From 2013 to 2018,it was only 5 games without Roethlisberger for Brown(4 in 2015 and 1 in 2016)

You gave me an against the rules :lolol:

Yeah I was a big time nerd for that show. Inspired me to take up martial arts, fought at a big tournament at Queens Open College, I own katanas, that show wins hands down for me lol. It had such better sword play, the fights in the series blow away the movie fight scenes.

I hated that they killed Connor off though, that was dumb and Scribe is right, the last season wasn’t very good. Although Killing Connor happened in the movie not the series. Still dumb.

There aren’t many examples of WR balling out without a QB. I know Dhop has probably been the best at it. That guy has had some pretty bad QB’s tossing him the ball and he still produced. AB’s play fell off a cliff without Ben but a lot of that was him being a headcase.

I really wanted him to stick with the Raiders because I wanted to prove to kidanalyst that Ben was a large reason why AB was so successful but he imploded and got himself cut without ever playing a down. If he could have put up the same numbers with Carr then it would have settled that. AB would be one of those receivers it doesnt matter whos throwing to him. Although Carr would have been better than any of the backups that were ever throwing to Dhop.

We both have Martial art background then. Although I was fighting amateur when the show was out, and because of training, and fighting during that time, it was how I missed episodes here, and there, and that's why I'm rewatching now.
LoL about the against the rules. LoL

Stat muse is wrong a lot. You aren't making sense in Your argument. You can't one minute say it's not the Qb, and the next say........well look at the Qbs he played with. That's talking out of both sides of Your mouth.
