    Tee Martin 2.0

I hope the QB whiner contingent is happy around here. You know who you are!

Steelers will be drafting QB in round 1 next year. Write it in stone.

Martin was a scrub. Howard is not. But I get your point. This season will tell if they go QB in 2026.

Yes Im happy because it’s stupid to put all your eggs into one basket.

Pinning all your hopes into a draft that is a year away with so many variables is not a winning strategy.

I am just happy the steelers did not reach on a QB like in 2022...Pïckett would been available in the 3rd round back in 2022,I am sure

Warming up to Howard. Was never against him, just against drafting him in first 3 rounds. Round 6 is very cheap dart throw. Might get lucky.

He looks a little mechanical upper body, but after watching the John Gruden class with him, he does appear to be very sharp mentally. This is NOT Jamarcus Russell.

He needs to hit the weight room or at least QB specific non-weight strength training.
He needs to, possibly, alter the diet. A little baby-fatty, squishy. Maybe he already has in college.

Certainly has some good tools, with the height, some running ability (a little slow, but functional, will be less funcational at the pro level of course).

Now, do the Steelers HAVE the necessary coaching to get more out of him? We all wonder. There is no doubt some of Steelers coaching past 10 years has been, to be kind, sub-standard. I hope maybe they do have the right QB coach and the OC is up to the task to make him better and not try to shove a square peg into a round hole.

Still hopeful for Aaron Rodgers for 2025, far and away our best chance at playoff success. That said, would next hope Howard is good enough to win the job over Rudolph who has proven to be decent, but below-average starting NFL QB. Rudolph is a solid backup QB, but shouldn't be starting regularly. MAYBE he surprises, maybe he finally gets it together in an off-season and goes all out to improve. Hey, like Gruden said, Rich Gannon. So true.

Agreed Howard in the 6th, cool beans, all for that. Howard in round 1 or round 3? Are you kidding me, we have OTHER holes and this is a QB-poor draft. Not Kenny Pickett poor, but below average.

Khan did the right thing. If Sanders becomes a top 10 QB, we'll likely be regretting passing on him. I don't think anyone thinks he is a shoe-in to ever become a top 10 QB, and it will take the right system and coaching.

It will be Mason because he will win a playoff game.

If Rodgers doesn't sign then I say let's just go with Howard this season and see what we have in him.

Good potential for a sixth round pick. Good third string Qb if AR signs. Im ok with him as the first backup if we start Mason.

How anyone can be against drafting a 6.4 National Champion QB in the 6th round defies logic. If he’s nothing more than a backup it’s still a win. And, this kid came through when they needed him most. He stepped up and I encourage you to look up who he stepped up against. He bested em!
    No brainer pick_ sheesh…

    Go Steelers!

Exactly. You just never know how a QB is going to acclimate at the NFL level. Could be a flop as you say or turn out to be outstanding. At least he has a championship resume. Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round at like 199 and went on to win multiple super bowls. He even went out and nabbed a bonus ring with a different team. I’m fine with Howard. Happy he’s a Steeler.

Why would the Falcons DC even have that number? If that’s true, what’s wrong with the situation goes beyond the 21 year old kid.

IDK but I could see where teams have a database of contact information for all players who have declared for the draft

For example the DC could have been looking to talk to the brother who is a safety and might have been on the same page alphabetically

    Nothing more
