Maurice Jones Drew said you already know Rudolph isn't the answer so just name Howard the starter immediately. Now that would all change if Rodgers signs.

This is so good. Makes me want them to not sign AROD but start Mason and turn to Howard when he’s ready.

Mason sucks but still better than Pickett and better attitude. Rodgers is like a less mobile Wilson. Just have to keep building and hope we can get that franchise qb. I expect to feel some hurt but just have to weather the storm at this point. I’m excited to see what Howard can do.

TJ Watt may finish his Steelers career with 0 playoff wins imo

Last two Qbs Steelers drafted are now SB champs. I bet this new one is looking forward to a ring. :)

I'm optimistic. While OSU QBs typically haven't done well in the NFL (Stroud excepted), I think Howard can be a very solid QB. Maybe not a superstar, but a good solid player. If he was a 1-3 round pick, I would have been skeptical, but for the 6th round, I think he's a great pick.

Maybe but the kid shows very well in that. For a 6th? Hell yes.

I like the Howard pick, especially in the 6th. You aren't locked into him if he isn't the guy. The Steelers should still be able to take a QB next year.

If he works out, he is a steal and huge value.

Howard played at a high level in the National Championship. That is a quality that gets overlooked, performing in big games. There are quite a few quarterbacks in the NFL who shrink when the lights get bright.

You see how much getting drafted means to these guys, then you have some people who think it's funny when Shedeur Sanders got a prank call saying he got drafted .

Dodged the Sanders bullet, didn't waste a high pick in a bad QB draft, came away with a decent option for only a 6th rounder which is nothing. I think the Steelers handled this really well.

Now go all in on the '26 draft.
