I work just outside Cleveland, and every Brown fan I talked to was disappointed in their first round pick. To tell you the truth, I'm a little relieved that they didn't snatch up Jeanty myself.

Yeah, but what did they think about the trade back? Would the Browns be better off with Travis hunter, or an extra 1st in 2026, and an extra 2nd in 2025?

Most didn't mind the trade back, just who they selected with the pick. The sentiment was "What good are all the picks if they aren't grabbing truly special talent with it" and that it's always "Wait till next year." Personally, I think they are setting themselves up really well for a much better quarterback next year.

    1. A Top 15 player falling to 21 is exceptional no matter the issue. A+ for me.

    2. I wish him all the best. Jim Harbaugh will use a Running Back by Committee approach no doubt but I'd imagine Hampton is gonna be getting a good amount of the touches.

    3. Disagree a bit here. Hunter is so damn unique that he cannot be used like any other player the league has ever seen. He has to be used on a game by game, opponent by opponent basis. What that means is that his snap totals will heavily depend on who Jacksonville is playing.

    4. Agreed.

    5. Thank the ass whoopin' Patrick Mahomes received for that. Special note?! 2026 is gonna be Year of the Offensive Lineman. If Broderick Jones cannot get it together this season, best to get another one in 2026.

    6. Brett Kollmann and EJ Snyder were talking about a specific Knee Injury that Will Johnson had. They said only 15% or so of players ever return to 100% from it. Do not remember fully what the specific injury was but that played a huge factor. Remember the Titans selected Caleb Farley despite his injury issues back in 2021 and that backfired on them.

    7. I'd argue top 3 personally. Both Malakai and Kyle will be hell on earth for any potent NFL Team who primarily relies on an air attack.

    8. Very much doubt it. Just a sign of the times that a player is simply unhappy. Much ado about nothing.

    9. As of the timing of this post, we shall see.

    10. Don't sleep on Colston Loveland. Between him and Warren, Loveland is more polished at this point coming out. Colston does have some Travis Kelce to him and, for an Offensive Mind like Ben Johnson who loves his Tight Ends, he isn't a bad option to use.

    11. I disagree a bit here. Mason Graham is a very good player but others have pointed out (myself included), Kenneth Grant took a lot of attention away from Graham in both 2023 and 2024. Grant's potential is insane. Graham's potential is very good but that is about it.

Overall, great write up as always good sir. :drinks:

#10 - I think having TWO beast receiving TE’s is a very smart move. Don’t know why it was never replicated after Gronk and Hernandez because I have no idea how a defense can defend against that.
