What QB are you hoping for?

Well if we are picking a QB this year I would like to know what everyone's pick is?

 

I don't follow NCAA but I'm hoping we get super lucky in the draft. Any QB we draft will not make an impact this season. As much as I hate him I think Aaron Rodgers would give us a chance at Playoffs. I'm now convinced Rodgers will retire thus Mason Rudolph.

They will not give the 4-year SB window to Mason, they will not let him compete and lead the team. His contract is for 2 years under backup money.
They were and are dead set on Rodgers. Therefore, I am hoping they grow some balls and draft Will Howard in the first round and give him his 4-year window to compete for SB and lead the team.

The only one I have any interest in is Tyler shough. Milroe could be interesting, but he needs a ton of work.

Honestly I would prefer we don’t draft one but if Shedder Sanders falls to us he would definitely be worth drafting simply for his accuracy and processing. I prefer those types of QB’s over the physically gifted ones anyways.

I do not know. I am not a salesman. I am not an enterprenuer. I am not a manager. I do not care about profits. I am a professional. I care about ethics.

 

Roll with MR and draft Kyle McCord with 3rd. round pick. Keep drafting QB`s until they find one . I don`t have any problems going 6-11 or 5-12 until one is found. I can handle the losses, being a lifelong Pirates fan has prepared me well. Tomlin is afraid to go down the rookie QB road and Kahn needs to step up and be a GM.

Should of kept Pickett and let him pout on bench and maybe he would of learned something or not. Thats not the point. Front office is weak because Tomlin has too much control. If AR is a Steeler in 2025 and then retires after, then next season it will be Kirk Cousins, Carr or some other older vet band aid QB . Young Sam Howell is available or maybe Will Levis go get them for nothing and add to QB room. Keep rolling the dice!!!

With all the OL additions and youth hopefully, they gel this season and by 2026 are studs. Get a RB that can make a difference and WR/TE room should be fine. Those moves could set up a young QB to at least have a chance. Get Tomlin away from the offensive side of the ball.

 

One thing to consider; if Rudolph is the guy this season and Smith designs an offense most suited to him, you likely want a QB that has a similar playstyle. Otherwise you end up like 2024 where Fields was running one kind of offense and Wilson another. The transition for a young OL isn't that easy. Part of the gaffes we saw in blocking.

 

Mason was never given a chance to play a whole season---That is what I want RUDOLPH TO GUIDE THE SLEIGH --Not just in the doom foggy weather but the whole year. No pulling him like Fields --no pulling him like they did before. But ---oh wait if he loses too much Tomlins special non- losing season will be in jeopardy.Sooooooooo,,, you know he will pull him. But would he pull Rodgers. Wouldn't that be funny if he did oh what a show that would become woo-hoo ---sign Rodgers ---can't wait to see it.

 

I like Howard,but not in the first round .Maybe if they could get back into round 2.

 

You know I am going to keep telling people that Arch is not coming out until 2027.

I don't know why everyone is assuming Arch is not going to want to play 2 years at Texas. I think Arch will get the largest NIL deal in history to return to Texas for his senior year in 2026.



Now for this years draft I like the Steelers trading George Pickens to move up to the #8 pick and select Shedeur Sanders, and then in the 6th to also pick up my favorite CU Buff Shylo Sanders.
