    1. Game 1 vs the Browns, our front lines on both sides got dominated......
This game was the exact opposite

    2. Speaking of O-line.... anyone noticed that Broderick Jones didn't get his name called one time ..... that's a damn good sign for an O-lineman

    3. I swear Corliss Waitman was wearing a metal shoe in this game

    4. Cam Heyward continues to age backwards

    5. Alex Highsmith announced his return early

    6. Nearly every time we needed a clutch tackle or pass defensed, it was Deshon Elliott that stepped up

    7. Boswell is having a season for the ages

    8. Keanu Benton is really making his presence felt

    9. When a defense tightens up on our run game, Jaylen Warren's burst to the hole makes a huge difference

    10. George Pickens absence from this game really helped his negotiating position

    11. Nice to see us using Michael Williams

    12. Hey Grant Delpit........ we came for our get back...... BTW, where was he all game???

    13. Russell Wilson rebounded quite well from a poor 1st half

    14. Hope Donte Jackson's injury isn't serious

I thought Jackson returned to the game later. I'm more concerned about Watt. I know he played after the injury, but that doesn't mean he is fine.

Nice summary as usual. OC first half was head scratching. Apparently we have ruled out the quick slant from the passing game!

Pretty sure Watt is ok.... we actually have the depth to cover for him, so for him to still be on the field is a good sign

Great write-up, as always. Seemed to me like Smith and Wilson struggled to figure out a good game plan with Pickens sidelined, but they also really got it together once everyone settled in. I love to see the team adjusting its playcalling in-game, which is something we haven't really seen in many seasons.

    15. TJ Watt really was a no show again. Probably having his worst season yet as a Steeler but still can make impact from time to time.

    16. With today's win over the Browns, Cleveland is officially eliminated from playoff contention.

That’s good news on Watt. Looks like the problem was very minor. Should know more Tuesday.

While the Steelers did not clinch a playoff spot today, they are 4 games up on Indy and Miami with 4 games to go. A win in Baltimore will clinch the division.

Watt did set the tone for the game - first play of the game and loss of 5.

we picked up some key third and shorts (maybe a 4th too?) - with Wilson up the middle or hand offs not starting 5 yards deep in the backfiled.

Muth had limited catches but the ones he had were HUGE - that third and long was a biggie.

Corli$$ You cant always quantify a value on a players play even though his box score numbers look good.

The point is how big was that to change the field deep in his endzone. May not be a sexxy sack or 50 yard TD catch but huge none the less.

He did blow up the first play of the game and he got some pressure on other plays, but he wasn't great.

He came up big today, especially the last two punts.

Time of possession was 30:00 minutes each exactly. I've never seen that before

The Steelers have an opportunity to win the division two weeks from now in Baltimore, but damn, the folks who made up the schedule did Pittsburgh no favors. The Ravens got a very late bye this week which is an advantage, and they have a much easier opponent next week with the Giants on the schedule.

"2. Speaking of O-line.... anyone noticed that Broderick Jones didn't get his name called one time ..... that's a damn good sign for an O-lineman"

With the exception of the first 4 games and the first Browns game I feel that Jones is quietly having a ok year. I think the criticism of him those couple of games is warranted, but the other games not-so-much. With Jones improving and Moore playing well, it'll make the Fautanu comeback interesting next year. Fautanu could be slid to the inside if need be.

This is awesome!! Does this mean we ended the Bengals playoff hopes AND the Browns playoff hopes in back-to-back weeks? That makes me happy

When you look at the stats (minus TO's) you would think that no one had a great game, but I think Russ really showed how a vet being patient and taking what they give you, making the right adjustments as the game went on showed through. Having been through the disaster at Cleveland he could have tried to do to much. Perhaps to conservative in the first half, he did what was needed, was not an ugly game, nor a spectacular O showing, but s sloid team win.

Guess we will see, but I don't think they can put the money into Moore, Russ, possibly Pickens(or perhaps a surprise signing), sign Jackson (or another CB). They are not in awful shape CAP wise, but it is not going to be cheap getting all the guys signed.
