Injury Updates

I think it will be next year for Roman Wilson

 

I get on him because of his size but he is clearly our 2nd best WR

Austin has done well for what they've asked from him. I like Wilson, too. He got injured, just like Austin did, it happens, way too early to write him off.

Not injury related, but we had Saika Ika in for a look today. 360 lb nose. Drafted by the stains in 2023 in round 3. Lot of people in the draft room liked him.

 

Any news on Cory Trice today? If he is not on the 53 man roster he is out for the year.

I did see where the Steelers released RB Ward today to free up a spot on their roster.

 

I know the Steelers had in him for a Pre-Draft visit, but what the hell happened in Cleveland that would make a team's 2023 3rd round draft pick, get released in 2024?

Why did the Eagles cut a week after they signed him to the practice squad? I wonder how big Siaka Ika got... over 400 lbs?

I was a fan of Siaka's until he ran his 40 at the combine with his big old belly hanging out, because his shirt was too small.

Trice got in a full practice while Adams was limited. They are the two options most likely to be activated in Ward's spot. I imagine they are confident at least one of them will be ready to go.

 

glad to see Williams get the day off - must be tired after all those catches.

 

Not good with Calvin Austin on the injury report.

Any news on Austin. I am assuming Concussion Protocol this week, but I didn't see the head injury happen on the field. I saw multiple big time hits on Austin, but nothing where his helmet was banging on the ground.

Austin was always going to be on the injury report this week. Making it through a practice is part of clearing the concussion protocol, but it's not a guarantee.

We have a fully healthy team at home playing the Browns who just played Monday night in Denver and have to come here on a short week. No excuse for having a let down on Sunday.

Pickens being out would be a big kick in the nuts, but if he’s good to go, that’s about as good of a report as you could hope for at this time of year.

 

They are completely and royally screwed if Pickens can't go. The piss-poor job of building a wide receiver corps will come back to bite this team in the ass if that happens.

 

Man, I hope Pickens plays. But I believe even if he doesn’t, we still win the game. This Might be the time for Mike Williams to get involved. Calvin Austin is good to go. I’m not too worried.

 

When you lose your best player on offense,every team will suffer from that if this is for a long period....I still think the steelers have a good chance to win vs Cleveland with or without Pickens...No excuse
