It's time to have a conversation about TJ Watt

But completely impracticable.

 

If you're gameplanning and able to take TJ from the same side, and you're also not getting called for holding the other guys that do step up, you're going to see a guy like Winston win a game they had no business winning. Also, if you look at the Ref crew's win percentage for home teams, it's right at the top of the leagues and well above the 50% average. This was going to happen this game unless they played really clean and they didn't

 

Douchebag Garrett wanted to brag about how he thinks he is #1. Statistically, he would be wrong. A real modest player shows on the field how great they are rather than run their mouth about it. I would be willing to be the Browns will be in last place at the end of the season. Who's with me?

 

Of course it is. Even if everyone agreed to a performance based pay schedule, they'd probably have some 18 year old "football analyst" decide which performance was worthy. No doubt based on his fantasy team!

 

He was getting chipped by 3 guys in the Browns game. If a DC has to go all out to take him out of the game, then somebody else should be able to get to the QB easier.

 

Yes how is it possible that a guy facing 2 to 3, and sometimes 4 with a chip ....guys is not getting to the Qb as much as a guy facing one player. LoL
I got 500 dollars saying....I can show you examples of this at least 10 times a game. This is why I was saying Highsmith is not winning enough before.
All this is showing with Watt is he is getting more , and more attention. I can't actually believe people aren't seeing this. The only person getting constant pressure when singled up because Watt it's taking on so much is old man Heyward.

 

I believe he should be moved around continually. so they have to game plan for TJ to be everywhere. Right now they can afford help on the right side because he always comes from the right side. The one game he was moved 4 times to the other side and it seemed effective. Keep em guessing. Myles gets shuffled throughout.

If Watt is really drawing 2-4 guys a play then what the hell are the other guys doing?

 

I agree,,but even if You leave Him at one side ....everyone else should be feasting. There is a reason that almost anyone we stick on the opposite side is getting sacks, and they should.

I mean Herbig was doing his besta, but when he gets held he really can't break through the hold.

 

Yeah he is fast but he does not have the same power as Highsmith or Watt for that matter. We need Highsmith back ASAP

Except he didn't get chipped on every play

 

He didn’t I was reviewing up to half time right now. They are getting rid of the ball really fast or chipping TJ. The one play I saw TJ coming home the tackle was holding him bad.

1v1 ultimately Garret was wrecking his guy vs what Watt was doing. Still, the gameplan was working for them, quick passes and chip TJ.

Steelers did chip and double Garret but not as frequent. Garret rested a bit of plays and he swapped sides at times. I think 2 sacks or 1 sack and fumble were on the LT 1v1 and his other sack he stunted from the RT.

the browns were generating pressure from other guys so Steelers had to let Garret run loose and he was killing it, pure power from what I saw. We were playing patty cake lol.

Watt struggles vs Browns idk at least lately I feel that way. Texans did the blueprint to stop him> chip and quick passes. Our secondary can’t cover short quick passes I guess.

Watt usually a split second away from sacks all season, oh well it’s the way it goes.

 

Also a key reminder Garret had a 6 week stretch with just 1 sack, no forced fumbles no int and 11 tackles while winning DPOY.

 

I wouldn't quite go that far, but we might at least get a pressure or two

 

I thought about him being niked up. But he is getting chipped, double teamed and especially held. The zebras all have blinders on when he is mauled.

I want to see them move him around.

He has made game changing plays this season. Just not the usual Watt performance were used to.

 

If 3 people are taking care of Watt, then freaking blitz!

 

TJ gets double and tripled team all the time. I don't think he has regressed. I do think he needs to move around more on the line.

 

Be nice to see all 3 out there at times, but the problem is .....we can't seem to have all of them healthy at the same time
