We've seen this before - 2 weeks ago to be exact.

    upload_2024-10-15_11-45-47.jpeg

It's an NBC/Peacock/Fubo/NFL+ affair with YouTube getting shut out, again. I believe YouTube will also get shut out the next game on Oct 28 on MNF that will be an ABC/Amazon Prime broadcast.

Here's me before and during every Steeler game.........

Unless of course you snipped your cable and dropped your Peacock. Do have Prime for the next MNF though. Do have Paramount+ that broadcasts CBS NFL games but only from local market feeds which having 2 teams in LA and 1 nearby in Vegas presents a problem unless Steelers are playing one of them.

My Peacock is pretty much useless. NBC and Peacock will carry it. I do have Peacock but rather watch on NBC then their streaming channel. ABC for MNF or is that over??????

By the way, I was jealous of you last night because you can watch the MLB Playoffs at 5:00. I can't stand waiting until after 8:00. Turns out they have sucked so far. No close games.

Not watching MLB. Lost interest when LA and NYY entered the final 4. Was pulling for Cleveland, you know, to re-create Wild Thing, Jobu and Major League etc.

From what I can tell MNF is ABC and Prime.

this all got me thinking.....Steelers vs. Chiefs on Christmas, is that on NetFlix?

begs the Q - if you live in Pittsburgh but don't have NetFlix , can you WATCH the game?

Good question. Since the NFL took over ALL TV broadcasts (unlike baseball), not sure how that works with local TV broadcast rights. From what I'm reading, Netflix will be the only way to watch Christmas NFL games this year. The NFL press release doesn't mention local channel broadcasts. Also I misread MNF game broadcasts - they are on ESPN and ABC, not Amazon Prime as I may have stated. It's TNF that streams on Amazon Prime, like the Cleveland game on Nov 21. This is all getting so bizarre. The consumer is getting screwed royally, and not in a good way. Thankfully Fubo with their 7 day free trial seems to cover all these outlier streaming hubs, you just need to use/create a different email address each time to sign up. I think I've used 6 different ones so far.

Hmmmm.... I sure hope they don't block the locals. It's just wrong. I really wish it was not us on that day especially against the Chiefs. That game is going to be on a ton of TV's across our country. I'm hoping it's a Merry Christmas and not a Scary Christmas.

I'm betting the nighttime "trifecta" of football. Steelers win SNF/Pitt wins TNF/Steelers win MNF.

I just got an email response from the Steelers

The Christmas Day game will only be shown on Netflix even locally in Pittsburgh

They are recommending people who do not have Netflix sign up for the one week free trial
