Thats the thing. The running game looks so different when Warren or Patterson are in there.

Saying that "Hey, give Najee some big holes to run through and he'll show you something alright." is like saying "Hey, if they never blitzed Kenny Pickett, he'd never miss a throw".

Of course Najee looks great when the OL is trampling people, so would most rb's of NFL caliber. But, it's the really good ones that can create space for themselves, even when they're not getting a lot of help.

It happens quite a bit. Najee gets nothing, nothing, nothing, then Warren comes in and suddenly holes seem to magically appear. We saw it again with Patterson. They didn't give Harris big money for a reason. I can only speculate as to why, but it seems pretty obvious that he just isn't worth it.

I almost think Naj wanted his contact up this year too ... He is looking for his pay day, be it Steelers or otherwise.

I guess it boils down to whether you think he's lived up to being the 1st round pick or not. IMO he's not a bad back but he can be considered a good back and the answer to the first question still be no.
As others have eluded to, he seems to do his best work later in the game when the defense gets a little worn down.

Either way though, is going to be hard for the running game to have success behind that patchwork offensive line.

Admittedly I am being lazy, what is Patterson's injury?

Do you agree that Patterson and Warren have quicker starts into the line and Harris hesitates and dances to much when starting out and doesn't have the vision that great backs have or even no. 1 draft pick that you should expect more from. Any backs can break plays with a solid Oline.

It amazes me that some on here think that Harris is on par with Derrick Henry. Did you see Henry run the long TD against the Bills the other night. Harris might of gotten to the 30 yard before being tackled from behind. Harris is a bruiser type and last week he wasn't even that, looks like he was afraid to get hit head on, I think he is also injured some in the shoulder and upper arm area.

Harris is a good RB, but the thing that bothers me about thim is that....he never can break a big run even when he breaks away from the LOS and is out in the open field. He always seems to try to juke his way out, but ends up getting tackled by 2 or more DBs, instead of running straight ahead towards end zone as fast as he can.

Randle El and DJ would drove me crazy with this, too... so it's not just Harris.

Nobody was comparing Harris to Henry if they did, they don't know ball.

What amazes me about Henry is the guy is 30 with a ton of mileage. He should be done by now, but he keeps on trucking.

He looks more like a DE than a RB

I will say this only one more time...., and I know some of You played football , or some team sport past the 9th grade. Jason anyone ever heard of a game plan???
If You were a DC....who on this team after watching the last two years of tape would you game plan against on this offense.....outsideof Pickens???? Now think about it for a bit.
Remember how JK Dobbins was tearing up the league until we game planned against him.....how that been looking for him since that time, and the Qb not able to take advantage of people doing it???

Before having a healthy OL it's crazy IMO. It's like buying new wheels for a truck that's engine is shot.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you would have zero problem with the Steelers trading for a top level cb right now.

Agree with they don't know ball, but last year there were a few on this site that said they were the same. Too lazy to go back and get them.

Henry spends thousands of dollars every year with personal training stuff like chefs that cook all his meals, personal trainings, doctors etc.

Harris might have done better if he went to a team with a coach who pushed him, but he came to Mediocre Mike's Country Club for Millionaires in their Twenties.

Maybe, but that's on Defense....thats a whole different side of the game, but on offense ....right now I wouldn't do anything before I got that OL fixed.
